Hedonism II Trip Report - John: April 12-25, 2026
Hedo Trip Report from John in Florida
April 12-25, 2026
This was my 51st trip to Hedo.
My flight to Sangster was pretty much on time and the immigration process went very smoothly and fast. No lines at the kiosks and no need to speak to a person until the very end just before you get your ground transportation. Since I arrived on a Sunday, there were not enough people for a van, so I had a private car from Sun Holiday that took me to Hedo. Nice!
Check in at Hedo was very smooth and fast and I did receive a ground floor room which is what I was hoping for. The room itself was great. Had hot water every day, the Wi-Fi worked great, and the A/C unit worked great as well. The room was close to Pastafari.
If you have never been to Jamaica or Hedo before, you would not notice much hurricane damage along the way or at the resort itself. I did not see any damage at the airport either.
I did not see much in the way of improvements at the resort other than they replaced the salt & pepper shakers with grinding types since the old ones frequently got plugged up due to the small holes and humidity. They also repaired the roof in the main dining room and removed the draping that covered some parts of the ceiling. I think they replaced the ceiling fans there, too.
I did enter the talent show the second Thursday of this trip and played bass with the Roots Explosion Band. The experience was awesome! Over the years I have gotten to know their bass player ‘Easy’. The Monday night beach show and Friday night rock show are the best shows in my opinion. I love this band!!!
I found the food at Pastafari, the buffet and The Flame to be very good, similar to last year although there were minor changes to the menus. I liked the salmon and beef tenderloin dishes. I did not go to Harrysan, the prude beach grill or the nude beach grill this trip.
I did have 2 massages on the beach with Sasha and these are always great. A Swedish massage on the beach costs $132.00 now.
I also enjoyed playing bocce ball every day on the beach. I collected $42 in Hedo bucks which helped pay for the massages.
All in all, it was a great trip and will probably be back next year!
Thanks, John
