Hedonism II Trip Report - Gary & Kathy: December, 2021

We arrived “Home” at about 7:30 pm on Sunday, Dec. 12. All in all an uneventful trip from the airport to the resort. Took JTL small bus….was 21st trip to Hedo …first time tho in 2 years….checkin is a bit different now due to covid….not much hanging around the front desk at all….plus $250 deposit from credit card is required…different from past trips….off to the nude side garden view right near the spa…nice quiet room….the buffet had just begun serve yourself couple days before arrival…mostly had dinner at flame restaurant when it was open 4 nights a week…service there was always excellent….sometimes dined with friends sometimes alone….lunch was always at the nude grill….mmmmmm jerk chicken……bocce ball was always on the agenda….guys dominated tho girls won last day so they have bragging rights for now…lots of Hedo bucks gathered from bocce and pool games with the ECs….spend well at gift shop….met up with several old friends from past visits….most of staff is still there glad to see them again….some have moved on miss those…..met and chatted with the new GM….seems like a very nice guy…very approachable and cares what guests think. Housekeeping was wonderful, the room was always made up and ready for our nap. Everyone was so gracious and friendly — no change there!
A big thank you to Chris the carver for taking care of our rock, and to Deon the pool man for making our pool time so relaxing.
It was a little stressful the last couple of days before we had to leave. Getting all our ducks in a row to travel, but it all worked out. All in all would say the trip was a huge success and way overdue…hopefully won’t have to wait another 2 years before we head “home” again….would say the resort was prob about 50% capacity…maybe lil more the first week we were there as was a group there at that time….our protocol was to stay out of pool and large crowd as much as possible…we were in the pool when not so busy and at piano bar when not super busy….even attended the FB live Christmas extravaganza with Winston and crew….good times!!!!!!…..everyone can make their own decisions about masks and interactions….we all adults…..there were a few people that had opinions on certain things…we tend to walk away from them….then came December 26…the dreaded walk of shame day….but have to go to real home to be able to come back to “island home”….2 weeks of fun….pace yourself!!!!!!!
