Hedonism II Trip Report - Jim & Felicia: June, 2021

Title: Hedo is BACK!

First of all, for those of you worried about visiting Hedo in this "age of covid", rest assured that Hedo is BACK and there is little to worry about, especially if you're fully vaccinated, already had it and not in a high-risk category. The resort is doing just about everything possible in following covid protocols to keep the resort clean and virus-free. We originally booked our visit in April, but re-scheduled for June to make sure we had our vaccine shots before we went. Tom and Bunny [whom we know from a club in California] were our hosts and did a great job taking care of things.

We must have had the same crazy Sun Holiday driver as noted on another Trip report in June, He was a bit "aggressive" during our drive from the airport, to say the least. Our trip back to the airport was much better [and calming], except for the poor guy behind us that puked from motion sickness just before we got to the airport. It happens to lots of us, we know he felt bad...

Most of the meals are served and placed on your plates by the resort staff [they have hired many additional workers to accomplish this, and it shows]. This reduces the number of people touching the food and utensils to prevent spread of any pathogens. Also, the housekeeping staff has added additional cleaning protocols for all venues and rooms. Our room was well cleaned throughout our stay, and we even told the housekeeping staff that they could skip our room a few times since the room was still very clean from the day before.

We ate at HarrySan's 3 times [great food and entertainment by the chefs], Pastafarie [great fish] and the main dining room several times. Good food and service as always!

We had lots of fun at the nude pool and beach. The Entertainment Staff did a great job of providing good trivia contests [as usual] and getting some laughs along the way. Although we didn't go on the catamaran or snorkel excursions, it appeared many of them were booked solid and had lots of participants.

One new thing also mentioned in other trip reports is the new key system which is a vast improvement over the old ones. You don't see any of the key cards on the ground left by people that accidentally dropped them, all you need is the wrist band with a small key fob that activates the lock, and it worked perfectly during our 10-day stay.

Also, we had the pleasure to meet and chat with Mr. DennyP himself, who was there with some of his group during our visit with the Tom's Trips group [which Denny also works with]. We appreciate the work DennyP has done over the years to keep his website updated with the latest and complete info needed for our visits. Thanks Denny!

The resort grounds and beach were immaculate and well-groomed during our visit. There was some outside remodeling under way in the "H-Block" area, the large tree has been removed in the middle and they are installing new drainage pipes and plan to put a nice plant garden very soon, which should improve the look of the H-Block area.  The exterior of the buildings are [in our opinion] in desperate need of a "clean and bright" new paint job, but management seems satisfied with the old paint that requires little maintenance. We personally prefer the bright colorful buildings at Hedo3, it made that property look newer and up to date compared but we know some have become accustomed with the drab exterior 'light chocolate" color at Hedo2.

It was nice to see Augustus still working on the prude beach side. Also, it was great to see some regulars like Chantel, Alicia and Marlene are still at the Nude Pool. Serena Williams, who was the Nude Pool Supervisor has been promoted the manage the "Hedo-Weedo" shop, so be sure to drop by and say hello to her, even if you don't "indulge". As Harry told the repeaters during his speech, some of the staff found other jobs during the shut-down, which happens especially during the past year which as we all know was far from normal.

The nightly entertainment was terrific as usual, and the "Leather and Lace" night show was especially erotic compared to past years. Another night, Winston and Harry both belted out a great song together, which was very impressive to see. Winston still reigns as the "crown jewel" of Hedonism and it was great to see him again every year we've come back since we first saw him at Hedo3 before it closed after the housing bubble burst. The rest of the Entertainment Staff has some new faces and they all did a terrific job as usual, especially the gal that did the hundreds of trapeze spins and still managed to walk off the stage without falling down. Simply amazing.

Overall we had a terrific trip, made some new hot friends and as always were sad when we had to leave.
