Hedonism II Trip Report - 2020 (Houston & Shannon)

The arrival at the airport was fairly easy. We queued up into two lines along the corridor and those going to Club Mobay went in fairly quickly. They took your temperature and handed each of us a slip of paper with our temperature to show the health worker. In small groups of two and four we were shuffled to desks where we answered COVID questions and handed in the temperature. You were required to sanitize your hands anywhere there was a place to do so. After the short question period we were able to go on to customs and then out into the waiting area for the bus pick up.
We opted for the private bus and it was a quick trip, about an hour. There were only 3 other people all going to Hedo and a couple going farther on. We stopped once after begging to do so at a common stop for a drink and the restrooms.
Getting to Hedo, the entertainment staff was there in costume dancing and in masks. We were greeted with mimosas and our luggage was taken right to the room. We had reserved a room on the prude side and ended up with a room on the nude garden side. Other people we spoke to got upgraded to the nude beach just by asking since the census is so low.
The staff all wore masks but, sometimes under their faces. They were all very happy to have us there and very friendly. The patrons did not wear masks except inside the store. There were no random temp checks and people were not running around to sanitize you. The gym was open and you had to sanitize the equipment before and after use.
Most of the theme nights were not really attended. They did not have the foam party and glow. The fetish night was a party in the disco (not socially distant) There were stickers on the ground to tell people where to stand but, this was not enforced.
The prude pool usually had 2-3 people in it and the nude pool may have had 5-6. There were a couple of people sitting at the beach and we were the only ones who snorkeled the entire time we were there.
After speaking to some people who had been many times, they explained that the nude pool is usually shoulder to shoulder this time of year.
The midnight pizza at the nude pool was the best. Food was decent, we enjoyed each meal and the drinks.
All in all we had a relaxing time and would want to try this resort again in non COVID times where there are more people around.
