We were there the week of January 3-10, 2015. The improvements included the nude pool bathrooms (an almost unbelievable transformation), the new shower at the nude pool (hopefully this helps to make the pool deck less slippery), the food, especially the mid-day meal, was noticeably better than our visit in 2014. The updated courtyard, as you can tell from the photos posted on their web site, is very nice. I found that the free wi-fi there worked just fine. We were fortunate enough to meet Mr. Harry Lange. He discussed the upcoming improvements to the lobby and dining area. According to him, those will begin this summer and hope to be concluded before business picks back up in the fall.
The grounds were well-mantained and as beautiful as always. So was our service. We never waited to have our room cleaned. We never waited for bar service or coffee refills at breakfast. We continue to be amazed at the efficiency and courtesy of the staff. We did miss seeing Delroy at the nude beach bar. We hope that he is okay.
We do not participate in the theme nights. Just really not our thing. As far as the staff entertainment goes, we continued to be amazed at the dancing ability of some of the entertainment staff. The choices of live music and their vocal talents, however, could stand improvement. We wonder if asking these talented young Jamaicans to sing North American lounge music is the best choice. We would prefer hearing music native to the island and the region.
Finally, the rooms that have yet to be remodelled could stand a freshening. We had booked 'Garden Nude' but were upgraded to 'Beach Nude', think this was because occupancy appeared to be about 2/3s (my estimate), which thrilled us. Our room which was in the building next to the room we stayed in last year was just as dated. The shower valves continue to be a mystery. The beds, however, are comfortable and large enough to invite a guest or two to join us.
With all this said, we loved our stay. We love our home away from home. So much so we booked our return trip in 2016 before we left.
