Rod & Pamela - July, 2008

7/7/08 to 7/11/08

Another great trip!  Here are some of our experiences/observations:

-Jamaica Customs and Immigration.  Long lines in-bound to the country.  It took us about 90 minutes to make it through the process.  The Jamaican representatives were very helpful and courteous throughout.

-Bus Trip to Hedo.  Fairly quiet and reserved.  Only a few people with us for the ride.  Driver didn't make the pit stop which was fine with us.... we wanted to get to Delroy's as quickly as possible.

-Resort Check In.  Very quick... had drinks in our hands with 3 minutes of arrival.  Many staff members recognized Pamela and called her by name (which pleased her very much).  Staff didn't think they had ever seem me before (Pamela gets ALL the attention - which also pleases her very much).

-Room.  Management and staff have made many improvements over the past year or so.  The room was spotless.  Hot water when we desired.  The TV really was stuck on the Playboy channel (for you non-believers out there - everyone at the pool though I was making this up!).  Eventually, I was able to get the TV to change to one more channel which coincidentally was the other Playboy channel.  What are the odds of that?

-Rain.  Every afternoon we all enjoyed the showers.  It cooled the evenings down a bit and gave everyone a chance to relax a bit more.

-Staff.  Best we've seen.  Many new faces.

-Food.  We don't go to Hedo for the food but noticed a big improvement on quality and selections.  Very nice surprise.

-Friends.  As always.  We were able to enjoy some friends from the past as well as enjoyed meeting many new ones.  This really is what the resort is all about.  What a wonderful bunch of people you all are!

-Single men.  Many more than in the past and although we heard a few stories about inappropriate advances, we had no such experience.

-DennyP.  We actually met a celebrity this time!  Yes, Denny P was at the resort and we enjoyed our opportunity to meet and chat with him.  He is a true gentleman that does everything possible to make certain his clients enjoy their stay.  And if he tells you that he can't control the weather, it's simply not true (I saw him do it when nobody was looking).  And he can make sure your flights are not delayed also (Sorry Denny!).

We'll be coming back in February for trip number 10!  We're hopeful to see all of you there!

Respect,

ps:  15 minutes before we departed, I got the TV to work on all channels (g).
