Michael - November, 2007
We were at Hedo II with our friends from home (newbies) through
Thanksgiving. Our flight was uneventful, and the van ride to the resort
was pretty much as we remembered from previous trips. We have always
been so excited to get back home that we never mind the ride. Our room
was to be on the prude side, but since the resort wasn't full, we were
pleased to be upgraded to the nude side. (A friendly smile and a
positive attitude will sometimes get you a long way!) Our room was
fine-hot water, comfortable bed, and mirrors on the ceiling. What more
could you want? We requested a fan to drown out noise, as the room was a
little closer to the disco and loud music than on past trips. No
problems there-Housekeeping brought us the fan the same evening. We
found the food to be very good. Friday night was awesome, grilled
lobster was plentiful, and this was the first time we have had lobster
at Hedo. We made reservations at Pastafari one evening (also very good)
and at the Japanese restaurant another night. It was okay, but we like
Pastafari much better. The nude grill was great as usual, but we did
miss Robert's friendly smile. We were happy to see Delroy and Scumba at
the nude bar, and Augustus working hard on the beach. We also enjoyed
talking to Sunshine again, and meeting our new friend, Dean, who works
in Entertainment. We did notice the beach was not as clean as we had
remembered, but that may have been due to the recent rainfall in the
area. As much as we love Hedo, we were disappointed in the Piano Bar. It
is DEAD, not fun as we remembered. Most people were sitting outside as
there was more action there than inside. Management needs to take a look
at the problems with the piano bar, because it really sucks now. Lots of
people complain about the air conditioning problems in the piano bar and
the restaurants, but you need to remember you are in the Carribean! We
also think more people would hang out in the disco if the music wasn't
so damn loud! It is deafening and will give you a headache if you stay
very long. Our biggest complaint, however, was the condition of the nude
pool. We never saw anyone cleaning it until the day before we left. And
that only happened because one of the repeaters apparently complained to
management, and we heard he even took pictures to show them the scum all
around the side of the pool. (which we never saw before on our four
previous trips). The pool area was not as clean as it used to be, and we
even saw trash floating in the pool one day. We went to the nude pool
and hot tub late one night, and the bartender was sleeping in a lounge
chair. Guests were going behind the bar and making their own drinks!
We are older ourselves, (54 & 52) but still consider ourselves in good
shape and young for our age. We always say we both wish we had
found this place when we were younger & hotter! We did notice the
Thanksgiving crowd was much older and out of shape that what we have
observed in the past. There wasn't much eye candy, but that's not why we
go to Hedo anyway. There weren't as many PDA's either, so we felt
compelled to provide! We aren't lifestylers, and have never had a
problem with anyone who is-to each his own. All things considered,
it was still a wonderful trip. We have only been married seven years,
after finding each other late in life. Hedo gives us the opportunity to
bask naked in the sun together, dress up for dinner, meet new and old
friends, and experience the best sex ever. It helps us remember why we
fell in love, and why we'll be together forever! We plan to return to
Hedo for our tenth anniversary to renew our wedding vows. Hopefully,
some of the problems will be fixed-and we'll find the Hedo we all want
to remember.
