Xmas Eve – New Years Eve

(12/24/06-1/2/07)

This was my 4th trip ‘home’, but first trip over the holidays (usually go at the end of Feb./beginning of March).

To start off with, I arrived on Xmas Eve day and was very surprised to find that the connecting flight to Montego Bay was over-booked, the immigration line was longer than I have ever seen it and the wait for the shuttle was longer than before.  I was sure that arriving on that day would be a good day….it was good to arrive, but getting there took a lot longer than expected.  Somehow though it was all worth it once I met a bunch of great people on the shuttle, we turned into that familiar gate, I saw Winston standing on the lobby stairs and even though he had been at college during my last trip, he recognized me and gave me a big welcoming hug.  I was home once again!  J

I went as a single share ROH this trip and for the first time ended up with a room on the far end of the prude side, though it wasn’t bad as I did end up with a King size bed and no roommate for 7 of the 9 nights there and the walk wasn’t bad even late at night.   I quickly unpacked and walked over to the nude side where I was in time for my first batch of jerk chicken and a nice soak in the cool pool with the jets that can ease any travel aches.  I also had hot water showers the whole time.

That night was Xmas Eve and though I had heard about it being a low occupancy time, I had never seen the dining room as it was – some of the large tables on the top level were empty and others had just a couple people sitting at them.  There were Xmas decorations around the stage, the lobby & outside area and even around the nude side pool bar (lights strung around the poles).  Quite a  few of the people there dressed for the holiday on both xmas eve and day which was great and one lady got up on the nude side bar and danced with tassels on to xmas music which was even better!  J

It seemed like there was more transition of people during the week this time, some people left mid-week and others were arriving the whole week which was different from my previous trips where most people arrive on the weekend and leave the next.

Each time I go home I always think that I have seen almost everything and then I learn or see something new.  This trip was no exception.  The first’s this year were more to do with people who really impressed me for having courage that I am not sure I would have….  One was a single guy who was there by himself, had a great personality and couldn’t see.  He used a white cane and in a way I think he was better coming to hedo as everyone helped him navigate around the property.  He was out by the pool daytime and at night was in the disco dancing and in the hot tub, but was never a ‘lurker’.  I teased him about having the greatest pick up lines as he got hugs and various feels all week as ways to ‘recognize’ gals and what they were or weren’t wearing.  J   There were also a couple guys in wheelchairs who got around independently, even when the property isn’t always set up where it is easy to have that happen.  Another individual had male anatomy and breast implants, but while she did get looks, she was very open to responding to questions and handled them well.  When I get worried about various scars before going, I just think of the variety of people who go there and how awesome everyone is no matter how you look – hedo really is a place where personality rules!

Otherwise this week was fairly low activity as far as PDA’s, more couples and singles enjoying being social.  It would be a good week to go if anyone had worries about seeing these activities daytime.  Nighttime they still occurred in the usual spots.  I didn’t notice the usual local ‘ladies’ in the disco this trip, however I did hear reports that they were out, just by the hot tub or other places this time.  I was also not offered miscellaneous party favors as much, though everything was readily found by those who wanted them.  The dining room now has pastel yellow & green columns and striped seat cushions. There was more afternoon rain & clouds than I am used to there and the ocean had more waves which limited me to the pool area, though as long as I am around water and great people, I am happy!  J

New Years Eve was packed.  The resort bumped couples who weren’t staying that night over to Grand Lido and other places to make room for those who were.  The dining room was decorated and the food was like Friday’s grand gala times 2 with the desserts out by the prude pool on tables to make room for everything inside.  There were party favors and hats, a balloon drop at midnight and entertainment by outside groups and by staff in the dining room until about 1am or so before everyone moved to the piano bar, disco or hot tub to continue the party until the wee hours of the morning.  The disco was still hopping at 3:30am this night when it had been less active than usual all week.  There was much balloon popping between bodies to celebrate this night!

Great memories:

$   Lending my bracelet that looks like handcuffs to a new hedo friend for PJ night and then having her say rather loudly the next day at the pool that she had ‘my handcuffs’.  HA!

$   An English gentleman come over to me from their OVN room to tell me he heard my laugh while he was “sittin’ on the shitta”.  (No I am not going to send out recordings of it – you guys just have to come back to hedo while I am there to hear it!  HA!)

$   2 couples who I teased about being ‘vampires’ (due to their pattern of staying up all night and then not being out until the following night) who waited for me one night in the disco with vampire bite marks on their necks.

$   Using an idea from a couple who did this on my last trip - bringing stickers to spell out various phrases on the backs of several couples (Linked partners like the following – Martini (her name) / The Shaker (his phrase), Peter the Pumpkin Eater / The Pumpkin, Soon Come, mon / The Mon, etc.) and singles (I know how to move, etc.).  Bringing these little extras really adds to the fun.

$   Spending my birthday with awesome people who made sure to make it a day to remember whether it was 2 new friends carrying me around the nude pool asking people to give me spankings, a wonderful couple giving me glow stick jewelry and a “I glow when I am horny” glow button that was supposed to be worn and then singing happy birthday over dinner, being sung to by Winston (on his day off) in the piano bar (I will always remember his rendition of happy birthday and ‘You are always on my mind’, and then dancing with my favorite EC’s.

$   Having 2 nude side gals introduce 2 prude side guys to the nude side, having them put sunscreen on their white butts, sandwich hugging them between 2 girls, then watching them enjoy everything for about an hour and a half before they then told us about their SO’s that they had left on the prude side for ‘5 minutes’ while they just checked out the wild side.  Didn’t see them later….guessing their gals didn’t let them out of their sight after that!  HA!

$   Getting back to the room on New Years Eve day to find I had a roommate who was good friends with the people I was new hedo friends with that week, who had the same first name as I do, sleeping in the king size bed that night (Just sleeping!!  J Resort never split the bed.) and then helping her get nekkid on the nude side the next day.  Where else can you do that with someone you just met?!

$   Finally, being mooned from moon hill by a bunch of my new hedo friends who got up early to see me off on the shuttle.  Cheers to you all and yes I am smiling now and am wearing my red sarong (refuse to get dressed in real clothes today until I have to go to work tomorrow).

A big hello to all of my new friends and drop me a line (and pics if you have them) if I didn’t get your email before you or I left!

HAP-py New Years!!

ps.  The following were comments I sent in to the resort after getting home that may interest some:

Suggestions:

1. Keep the salad, fruit & bread section open between breakfast and lunch.  Many people (including myself) are up during this in-between meals time and would really like the items served in that area instead of just grill items.

2. Always have an energetic EC with Danny the piano player as he seems to just like to play and doesn't have the personality to get the crowd going.  The nights that there was an EC there helping him, it was better.

3. I noticed that on the nights when the main terrace dining area was very warm there was usually a breeze in the lobby area.  If 2 fans were hung (not the typical ceiling fans - more like a floor fan) on either side of the entry way from the lobby into the dining area this would pull the airflow into & through this area.  It also wouldn't be an expensive addition for a noticeable change.

Complaints:

1. Clean beach towels were scarce once again daytime (even during the low occupancy time of the week).  Had to get them late at night out of the prude side cabinet, if at all.

2. There were a lot of bees this trip - around the soda dispensers and bars.  A few people were stung when they stepped on them.  Not sure why they were around so much this trip - hadn't had a problem before.
