Bill & Nancy - January, 2007

We are going to start my trip report with a little bit of the bad before we get to the good, in order to hopefully help others avoid the problems that we had.

Bill and I arrived at OHare before the crack of dawn to catch our flight to Cincinnati, from there we had a half hour layover to catch our plane to Jamaica.  We flew Delta.  Delta ended up cancelling the entire flight and rerouting us to Atlanta two hours later because a stewardess was not up to date on her requrements.  Then, when we arrived in Atlanta for our short layover, we were directed to the wrong gate, and we had to run to the correct gate before our plane to paradise  took off wthout us!!!  On the way home, same thing, directed to the wrong gate AND lost our luggage.  Word of advice do NOT fly Delta!  Air Jamaica direct flight, is the only way to go, in our opinion!

We arrived late on Saturday, approximately 7:00 p.m.  Check in went smooth as silk.  We were booked through Livestyle tours and t hey had everything completely ready when we checked in (bypassing Hedo's main desk).  A few minutes and we were in our room and dressed for dinner.  We decided to see if we could get in at Pastafari and low and behold they had an opening.  We began our trip with a dinner of conch bisque, sauteed lobster and champagne!  THATS the way to start the week.  Off to the main dining room to see what was going on.  In just a few hours we had made approximately 20 new friends....everyone just came up and introduced themselves!  We were tired but didn't want to miss the hot tub.  We quickly got nekkid and headed to the hot tub!   It was a little bit off putting as there seemed to be alot of voracious single guys there.  Bill and I began to have fun and I felt like sharks were circling from every direction.  One was right across from us and two on either side......the aggression turned me off and it was time to leave.

The beginning of the week was alot of clouds with mixed sun.  But even when it sprinkled the breeze was warm so there was "no problem mon".  We took a catamaran out every afternoon.  The first time we were out for about 2 and a half hours.  There is a GPS system on the catamarans so the guys on the beach knew exactly where we were.  (We almost made it to Ricks before we decided to turn around)  The next day they told us....."Stay right where we can see you and they limited us to an hour!  LOL  We took our friends Mike and Sharon out one day and Rick and Sally another.  We all had a great time.  I even hung off the cat and snorkled a little bit (Saw a couple of rays and a million star fish).  Had to hide the snorkle, as I was warned by the staff not to do this.  (Strange that we could go out on the cats, naked, have all kinds of sexual fun, but had to hide a snorkle!  Thats Hedo though!  Not your normal boring vacation!!!
The last part of the vacation was a bit more windy....I got a little freaked out when the cat went up on one pontoon....and after that was pretty eager to go back to dry land!

PDA's were everywhere and I am proud to say Bill and I were responsible for quite a few!  One whole afternoon we were practically jackrabbits!  Fun Fun Fun!

The EC's were all very friendly.  We got a big kick out of Gavin, a newer EC (I don't remember him from last year)  At the nude beach during happy hour he had the dj play "Sexy Back" by Justin Timberlake and he was out there strutting his stuff back and forth on the beach "runway".  One night he dressed in drag and mimed a song....let me tell you I would kill for his legs!  Hot!

Everybody  (especially bartenders Scumba and DelRoy) at the nude pool went above and beyond making sure everyone got their drinks asap and were full of "respect".  We NEVER missed the jerk chicken at 4:30 either.  That is almost the best thing at the resort!  We never saw Robert the entire week and fear he may be gone for good.

The nude beach is different from last year.  Last year during high tide it was deeper and there was somewhat of a reef there with millions of fish that would eat out of your hand.  This year, sand had washed in and there were no more fish.  I was disappointed.

On PJ night Bill and I went totally crazy and dressed with huge wigs and fake body parts.  It was so fun to see people's reactions....We walked into Pastafari and everyone wanted pictures.  It was just goofy fun!

I found out, through trial and error that it is much easier and cheaper to use the hotel phone to call the US than it is to get internet.  There was only one working computer and it was slower than molasses in January.  The room phone only cost 2.00 a call.  Something I will remember for next year!

We ate at Pastafari a couple of times.  Their filet was melt in your mouth tender!  That was definately our favorite restaurant.  We ate at Munsan twice and both times the food was good...not great,  but good.  The best part about Munsan is meeting people.  We met so many great people....Ron and Kelly, Rick and Sally, Harry and Nancy, John and Denise (who had the best toys....Swing, Magic Hands,  vibrating mouse and were more than willing to share!),  Laurie and Jerry, Sharon and Mike (good friends from our trips to Hedo 3), Jodi and Pat, Rick the cute cowboy, Pam with the magic lube, Ken and Trae, and so many more.....I can't believe how many great people we met!

The last night there was a big beach party (Friday).  It was beach/pirate/barefoot night.  There were stations set up with everything from Tempura to prime rib and the most gorgeous desserts everywhere.  The only disappointment...no grilled lobster!  Oh well, maybe next year!  Eating under the stars with the music of steel drums was like a dream!  Now we have to hold onto that memory for our winter here in Wisconsin!

After the meal they lit a huge bonfire on the beach, some hot naked young women were posing for pictures with alot of observers.

Every night we just had to stop and drink it all in. ...the waves crashing against the shore, the tree frogs chiping, the bright starlight above, the warm breeze soft music in the background.  This is truely paradise and we will be back next year!
