Steve & Anita - December, 2006
O.K. boys and girls, picture this. It's a hot and humid August
evening and we are discussing what to do about a vacation. I walk over to the
puter, pull up Denny's site and show Anita how to read the trip reports and
pull up the home page for Hedo2. I walk back to the lazy boy while she is
reading and i'm thinking to myself,,,,,you stupid bastard, she is gonna come
unglued at me after reading that stuff! Well, about an hour later she gets up
from the puter, walks over to me and says "now let me get this straight, you
want us to go to a resort in Jamaica where people take their clothes off at
the beach and pool, possibly see people doing the 'wild thing' and wear togas
and skimpy see thru pajamas at dinner"? At that point I thought to myself,
'quick, cover your nuts cause she is gonna try to rip'em off me'. Well, low
and behold she reluctantly agreed. I booked the trip the next morning to go
the week after Thanksgiving. We met Mike and Linda online thanks to this site
and they were soooo good to us. Filling us in on the the details and such.
They arrived at Hedo a couple of days ahead of us and met us as soon as the
van dropped us off complete with drinks in hand! Thanks again you guys! We
were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded from OVP to OVN at no charge. While
we were being escorted to our room (2228) Mike and Linda found a couple of
beach towels for us and arrived at our room to show us the beach and pool
areas. Well, it was now or never. I shucked my swim trunks and Anita dropped
her sarong and the rest is history! The four of us sat at the beach for a
while talking and had a few drinks. From there is was to the hot tub and the
pda's were in full swing since it was late afternoon and near dark. I thought
to myself, 'your not in Iowa anymore Steve'. Later, we had a nice dinner with
Mike and Linda and Tommy and Jane. Anita and I were shot from a full day of
travelling and retired to or room. Since we were so busy from the time we
arrived at Hedo, Anita and I had'nt had any time to talk to each other. I
asked her if she wanted to leave the resort the next morning and transfer to
another, she said hell no! We had a fantastic time the entire week! Never left
the resort because we felt like we might miss something if we did. Met lots of
nice people,,,,,Mike and Linda, Tommy and Jane, Brian and Kate, Scott and
Sharon just to name a few. They new we were rookies but it did'nt matter. What
great people there are at Hedo! We spent most of the mornings on the beach and
usually moved to the pool and hot tub in the afternoons. Yup, we saw pda's
and even created a couple ourselves. We had no disappointments the entire
week. We knew ahead of time that the food was marginal, and that it was. The
room was fine, the a/c worked and there was plenty of hot water. So to sum
things up,,,,,all of you 50 somethings out there who are contemplating taking
a walk on the wild side,,,,you aren't getting any younger! We are both hooked
on the place and can't wait to get back!
