Chris & Liz - August, 2006

Bosom Buddies' Trip - 8/30-9/4/06

It all started as a quiet August trip, aimed in part at giving Chris and Liz a shot at winning the free 5 days before that too was discontinued (despite the hazy logic of buying 5 nights to win 5 free nights .basically, any excuse to get to Hedo will do!).

Connections were a bit iffy due to the lingering hurricane Ernesto, but all looked good for the small contingent of BBs to consummate our end of summer trip.

It was 3am the night before our flight.  As usual, it was hard to sleep.  I was just up checking flights when the phone rang and the automated USAirways voice informed us that our 7:30am flight to Philly was now delayed and we were screwed for our connection to MoBay.  It helpfully suggested that we call customer service to find an alternate itinerary.  45 minutes later we were off to catch a 5:30am flight with an extra bonus connection, arriving in MoBay an hour later.   Not optimum, but this will work - hopefully we'll make the repeaters' party at 6pm.

After our fabulous trip to LaGuardia and then Charlotte, we arrive in Mobay around 1:30pm. We wait on the tarmac for awhile for a spot to clear, wait in the line in immigration (30 minutes), our bags are right there waiting on us & then we breeze through customsno line! The bus is ready quickly (~5 min), then we have to drive back into the old Sangster entrance to wait & pick up some other folks and of course the driver has to stop. Oh well. 2 hours after landing we arrive at Hedo! Leisa, Brent, Gary and Lora are waiting in the lobby.   These are good friends.   And man, it is HOT and HUMID. Let the sweating begin.

Our rooms are all adjacent in H-block.  Life is good.

We wander up to the disco at ~5:45 to find it cold, dark, and empty.  This is a bad sign for our repeaters' party victory dreams.   A few discussions with Moghanna (sorry for spelling your name wrong) and Lorna Clark and we find that it's been cancelled... uh... I mean replaced with a "repeaters' dinner" at Munasan.   This blows.   Our quick strafing run thru the party has turned into a lengthy dinner.

All turns out well however.  Gary & Lora soldier thru dinner with us and the staff and 5 other couples.  Soon, our greasy paws are holding a 5 day voucher.  Shit, now we owe G&L big time.   OK, now the chores are over and the fun begins.

We did learn during the dinner that Hedo is planning on remodeling some of the rooms by the watersports area into penthouse suites which would include Jacuzzi tubs and sitting areas/living areasor something like that. Well see how that evolves!    Theyre also planning to change over more rooms into hot tub rooms.   (The current ones are booked solid thru Jan and Feb 07)

We also found out there was a new chef (formerly at Grand Lido). We met him a few times & he seemed nice (young!) and has plans to upscale the foodright now though he is, working on the basics.  The food on a whole was not very inspired & basic indeed. Of course occupancy was way down (as is usual) maybe 25%. But we were all fairly unimpressed with the food at all the meals. Then again, were used to that at times & hope things improve!

We had thought with the low occupancy that it would be a sleepy little trip (as it has been at that time of year beforewe were quite wrong). The highlights of the trip:  Brent and Leisa's fan clubs, Winston's swan songs, transsexuals & a child bride.

First - We were delighted to find that Winston was there and gave several of the best EC shows to date, hosting the Caribbean and North American Model pageant and singing his heart out with Roots Explosion. (Not that we were biased by his acknowledgement by name of us all on the last night.) We could have lived without the contest being held two nights in a row & especially without it being 3 hours the second night, but it did offer us an opportunity to see Winstons stalling tactics and learn the fabulous phrases for the models of: walk.walk.walk.and turn..pose.attitude.walk.walk..   Im not sure how we sat through 3 hours of that. Must have been the drinks & company. J

Brent was very popular this trip and received several *offers* one from a couple who wanted some photos of him, another.well.whatever.  We also found Brent shmoozing several ladies on rafts for extended periods, which we chalked up to his smooth and dashing-yet-laid-back manner and perhaps his neatly trimmed chest hair or perhaps his fetish for *older* women?

BabyGirl was the hot babe of the trip and definitely exploded out of that shell and then some (despite the reemergence of the dreaded panties). She was very popular with all the ECs, many of the staff & Noble, the tennis guy.  Were all looking forward to a rocking good time in the disco in November to the tunes DJ Big Red spins (hes one of her fan club members). We all rocked to Red's superb sampling of "Sweet Home Alabama" mixed with "You might be a Redneck" during a rainy lunchtime spin.   This was excellent.   It is truly a BabyGirl World & we were privileged to be in it during this trip!!

Transitions: There were two Italian girls staying in one of the hot tub rooms near Delroys - one blonde, one brunette. They weren't originally girls.  The blonde was now a fully functional woman.  And the brunette was a very attractive woman with a new set of breasts, great legs and a penis. They were lovely ladies & very brave to bare it all at a nude beach in Jamaica! They were also very sexy dresssers at dinner time. We heard that the blonde and Naughty Bit had a great ride from a couple of the jet ski guys. Apparently jet ski rides were very popular this week!

The staff at Hedo was amazed (as were all of us!) upon first seeing these two ladies! Guss head about popped off and he was astounded (to say the least). The language barrier proved rather frustrating in talking with them, but we did find Marco (Polo) from Spain, who was a helpful interpreter.  They were sweet girls & Lora even coaxed one of them out on the dance floor one night. To say that everyone who first met them was surprised is the understatement of the year. We wish them well!

Another interesting couple we met was the aforementioned Naughty Bit and her boyfriend (soon to be husband) Big Bit.   She was a very petite ~ 4'6" (maybe!) and looked to be anywhere between 12 and (maybe, on a bad day) 22 years old.  He was 65-70 years old.  Our new favorite EC Tease brought them down to the jetty to introduce them (at our request), and from then on they were a welcome part of the gang.   Big Bit was direct and quite outspoken - a NY kinda guy.   Naughty Bit earned her nickname well! She was from Costa Rica and didnt speak any English (Big Bit was an excellent translator). She was a sweet girl having a fabulously naughty time & they were a loving, fun & very interesting couple. A lot of double takes were had when they walked by as well.  We hope they come back in Novemberwhich is a good possibility as Naughty Bit was VERY excited about Naughty School Girl Night (she would have to get a trophy for being the #1 NSG).

We also had a fun filled afternoon on the beach with the new ECs BabySpice and Dean (with Winston helping out as well). We played a game of trivia with several other couples & BabySpice was handing out Hedo bucks like she owned the mint (I guess she does). Got to love those brand new ECs. We met two new couples that day as well & ****** had a fabulous time making friends. We all enjoyed the *show* on the beach!!

While we were there it was Jocelyns (watersports staff) birthday. We gave him a bottle of rum, which the watersports guys promptly drank.  We also learned a valuable bit of Jamaican birthday lore.  We heard this from Jocelyn, saying that the watersports guys were "going to trow flower at me".  We thought this sounded odd, but like a sweet gesture of friendship or teamwork throwing flowers at the birthday guy.  We were puzzled that Jocelyn sounded like this was a bad thing - "especially when you ride de bus with them".  It was only later that we learned that it was 'flour', not 'flowers'.  The tradition is to throw eggs, flour and Guinness on the birthday person.  We'll have to remember this for our next BB's birthday celebration.  We heard that Jocelyn had a wonderful birthday and escaped the flour tradition.

Other highlights of the trip:

Im so glad we had this time together,

Just to have a laugh or sing a song,

Seems we just get started and before you know it,

Comes the time we have to say, 'so long'.
