AJ & Veronica - August, 2006

I went to Hedo II early August with my husband for 6 nights. We are both in our early 30's and this was our first trip to try anything like Hedo. We were delightfully surprised to find a place where you could let your hair down.

Airport: We got to the area to check in for our shuttle and didnt realize they had a  bar upstairs to take drinks with you on your bus ride. If I would of know, I would of walked upstairs and started some shots. The bus ride was crazy! Two buses (me in one of them) tried squeezing past each other and had about 2 inches before hitting each other. We saw the nice COLD BEER JOINTS along the way. We made a stop but it was just a cold beer stop (no joint in the name) to many of the passengers disapproval.
We made friends with people on the bus and were able to make more friends through our new friends. That's one thing about hedo, everyone is so friendly. Other trips we have taken, we never socialed with other people but at hedo, you can't help but mingle.

Check-IN: We were offered a nice drink and waited maybe 10-15 min.
Room: Not as bad as I expected. Smelled a bit odd but not too bad. Our shower ended up having a leak but we used beach towels to avoid flooding near our bed. The power went out one night before dinner and we fumbled for some form of light. Our cell phone which we hadnt used came in handy as a flashlight. We headed to the main area which was nicely lit with candles. The bar was still serving drinks so No problem, mon! We had power in about 30 or so minutes. Our room was prude ocean view, but we got a spot looking out to the nude beach so, we weren't far from all the activities.

Staff: We didnt see any staff at first. Im thinking maybe because of the Jamaican holidays. But toward the middle of the week, we met Winston (loved him!) and others like Serge (buff guys). We made our own games and fun in the mean time, like naked waterslide runs at night, naked disco dancing,  and body paint. We participated in battle of the Sexes game, twister, and a few other lunch time spin games with the actual staff (later in the week).

Nude side: We made it over there the first night and met lots of friends. One night it was hard to find a spot to sit at. Lots of PDA going on. The bar didnt have as many options as the piano bar or the main area bar. I loved the night time air matresses on the beach ;)

Prude side: Quieter, lot more volleyball going on. The beach was much nicer, although both beaches had lots of seaweed.

People: Met lots of friends although we did notice people were a bit older. The week we were there it was maybe 15% in their 50's, 50% in their 40's, 25% early and mid 30's and 10% early 20's. Even though some people were older than us, we still had a fabulous time. Although at one point, when I wanted a "nap" which is key word for sex, some older couple said I should go watch cartoons.

Excursions: Didnt get off the resort but did do some snorkeling through the resort. They took us to a different spot each time.

Disco: The Dj needs help finding good songs, you should request songs you want to hear and he will play them. I recommend Shook me all night long...my theme song :). BTW, Loved the stipper pole. I wish they had lessons for this.

Trapeze: My life as a swinger. I had fun on this but had to borrow socks and my
husbands boxers to participate.

Piano bar: Maybe we were there too early, but it was lame. We sang Going to the Chapel  and someone started a karaoke thing. I wasn't in the mood for this or maybe I just didn't have enough drinks in me yet...This piano bar was not like any I had been to before mainly because this one was NOT FUN. Although, the piano bar did have crown royal....

Event nights: Other that toga night and PJ night the rest didnt have any participation. Even toga night, had maybe 50% participation. The only time I saw the disco full was PJ night which was really fun. We did find that the disco has great buttery nipple shots.

Dining: Japanese restaurant was okay, I really wanted the steak main course and all appetizers and soup had fish or seaweed in it. The pastafari was great, until a few hours later when I had to run to the toilet. Thats one thing about Jamaican food, it goes right through you. We had some jerk chicken which was excellent! If I got hungry at night after drinking too much, my spouse was always able to find me sandwiches, even at 3 am.

Overall: My first experience was great. I felt like you could do whatever your heart desired.  It did feel like the resort was Mine for a few days.  I would go back again and would not pack as may swimsuits! I'm wondering when we should go back??? ....hmmm....
