When we arrived in Jamaica it was raining, and that was the
theme for the week. It rained about everyday in the afternoon and on
into the evening. It did rain all day one day and Superclubs did honor
the sunshine guarentee and we got a free day for our next trip.
The people once again made Jamaica and Hedo a great
trip. We spent most of the trip back and forth between the two beaches
and pool. THe hot tub was not that active as it has been in the past. I
would guess the resort was only 15-20% full. I counted only 55 people at
diner on evening.
The fisrt night we was there the Miss Black Nude Contest was
taking place. The gals were attractive and nice, but the contest itself
was not that great and took way to long.
We got to snorkle by ourselves on day, as we was the only
couple that showed up! It was wonderful! He took us to
Bloody Bay in the ski boat and found us a great spot. We also go to
parasail, water ski, kayake, sail, so we got our share of water sports even
with the rain.
One day we rode bikes past Negril and back, shopping and
stopping on the way to have a beer and eat. Was about a 16 mile round
trip, so our butts were plenty sore when we arrived back at Hedo!
THe resort needs some attention. The roof leaked in
the dining room and the panio bar. One evening they had to close the
panio bar because the roof was leaking so bad. We had no hot water in
our rooms and the shower leaked bad. Our friends has no cold water in
their room and the cd player did not work.
THe food at the dining room was average at best and was the
same meal for the most part each night. There was just not alot of
choices, I would guess due to the low number of folks at the resort. The
food at the resturants was good. One most days each beach grill was
closed due to the rain and low number of folks on the beach.
The ET staff did a great job of trying to entertain the
folks during the rain and as usual was wonderful during the evening shows.
Drink a Scumba Special...you will love it!
Even though the attendance was low, we still had a wonderful
time and Hedo will continue to be a place we dream about going back to.
