Hedonism II ~ January 10-17, 2004

Sadly, this won't be a popular trip report for most of you. We hate to write this, but....

We just returned home from our 8th visit to Hedonism II over a three year period. Sadly, this will be our last visit to Hedonism II.

Over the years, we have seen the customer service at Hedonism II decline steadily and have witnessed the resort continue in a downward spiral of disrepair.  For the price that Hedonism II demands, we will be spending our money elsewhere from now on.

Why aren't we returning to Hedonism II? The nude hot tub gets slimy and sickeningly dirty in the afternoon because 50-100 people congregate in the hot tub. Why are 50-100 people congregating in the hot tub? Because the swimming pools throughout the resort are always cold and the two private hidden hot tubs are broken.

The beach on the nude side needs repair, the food quality and variety needs to be improved, the bar service is usually rude, the bar consistently runs out of "top shelf" alcohol every night, the pool tables near the casino need maintenance, the "ice skating rink" is an eyesore, and the prices in the gift shop need to be lowered ($5.00 for a USA Today Newspaper?). The piano bar windows need cleaning, and the waterside needs to be open more than 2 hours per day! Many of the service employees act as if they are always angry at something or someone. Especially disrespectful, is the female employee who takes reservations for Pastafari.

Dave was gone all week. It is rumored that Dave and the management are in a disagreement about "issues", and Dave's future at Hedo is in question. Roxy, Buffy and a few other well loved entertainers are gone.

We know, we know.... It's the people, not the food or the rooms. It's Delroy, Robert, Dave, Samone, and everyone else. We know... It's about our "Hedo Family", but things do change... "This too shall pass".

We are saddened that Superclubs has allowed this to happen to Hedonism II.
