Jessie & Debbie

Jesse & Debbie at Hedonism II

June 11-20, 2004

Weve been to Hedo a bunch of times now this was our 9th trip in 9 years. Each time we go, something new and exciting happens that makes the trip better than the last. There were so many different things on this trip, which is the exciting part, and so many things that were the same as always, which is comforting, since we know that some things that we love will never change. In thinking back on the trip, this might have been the one with the most varied experiences. We never really got into a rut, or fell back on what weve done in the past.

Weve been to Hedo so many times now that when we walked in for the first time that week it felt as if wed never left. All the usual sensations come flooding back the look of the place, the smells, the buildings, the vegetation, the people. We were both thrilled to be back, but I think also starting to wonder if its getting almost too familiar at least when we first arrived. But that feeling faded pretty quickly. And it took a little while for us to feel completely back to our relaxed-all-day Hedo mode. For the first time we were staying on the prude side Debbie was one of the exercise instructors for the week, which means we had no say in where they put us. Of course we werent going to complain about this we were just happy to be at Hedo. But we were about as far down the prude side as you can possibly be (we could see one of the Sandals pools from outside our door), so it almost felt as if we were staying someplace else. I think that might have made it take a little longer for us to be completely settled, since it was so much different from our usual routine. But it actually turned out to be fine the walk isnt that long (although you have to think carefully before leaving the room so you dont have to trek back for anything you may have forgotten), and its closer to the dining room, and its pretty quiet at night. Plus our room hadnt been renovated yet, so everything worked fine. The only problem was that we kept getting lost going back to our room.

Its been said a million times, but of course its the people that make the Hedo experience what it is. We were meeting several old friends and several people we made great friends with just a year ago. Its always really exciting for us to be able to see people again, and to be able to anticipate that were going to have a great time with them. But we also look forward just as much to meeting new people, and somehow we always manage to find someone new who takes the trip in a direction we couldnt have anticipated. We meet some people online, some people sitting in the hot tub or standing waiting for jerk chicken but there are so many new and wonderful people there to join you and your old friends that you constantly feel as if youre surrounded by the best, most exciting people on earth. I also have to include the staff in the list of people that make the place so special. We really cherish the times we have just sitting and talking with them, or playing goofy beach games, or just watching them working their tails off. But all of them ECs, bartenders, maintenance people, just about everyone who works there are sweet, and sexy, and very cool, and are part of the reason why Hedo could only exist in Jamaica.

As I said before, our experiences varied a lot this trip. We had lots of times hanging around in big groups, hanging around in the pool, or hot tub, or cool bubble pool, feeling like we were at the best party in the world. We had lots of quiet time down on the beach by ourselves or with just a few other people. We had some boisterous dinners with a big group (one self-proclaimed naughty schoolgirl night at Pastafari where we probably should have been thrown out for misbehavior), and some great meals with just one or two other couples or even just by ourselves. We went sailing for the first time, and I climbed the rock wall for the first time. We took a long walk down the beach and Debbie was convinced by one of the ladies to get her hair braided for the first time (which she decided she didnt like and pulled out 2 days later). That was one of our more interesting experiences on the trip sitting with a group of Jamaicans for an hour, trying to figure out what they were talking about when they spoke Patois to each other, discussing current events in Negril with them, turning down several offers to buy dope. But then there were the daily things we always look forward to 4PM volleyball, 5PM jerk chicken and party in the pool and hot tub, beautiful quiet times on the beach first thing in the morning, dinner slutwear, and just hanging around doing nothing all day.

And of course the sex was great and as usual happened for us everywhere in the hot tub, in the cool tub, on the jets in the cool tub, behind the waterfall, on the beach, back off the path in the little garden area where the bird cage used to be, in the new outdoor sex room adjacent to the disco even in our room. And the sex is nothing but fun and kind of silly theres always something really funny and not at all serious about sex at Hedo. And lots of people seem to feel the same way, which is why encounters in the grotto or out on the raft are met with running commentary and standing ovations. It can be pretty hilarious at times, which is something unique and wonderful about Hedo for us.

Something new this year was the TV in the room. Not wanting to have anything to do with real life, it stayed tuned to the Playboy channel. When Debbie took a shower I would put it on, and watch for a few minutes and then Id have to turn it off. The reason for that was that the women were all ditsy, plastic, beautiful bimbos and were nothing compared to the real women I had the privilege of being with every day. The women at Hedo are the most beautiful, real, sexy people on earth, and you can sense that they feel that way about themselves. They really are sexy, as opposed to the women on the Playboy channel, who are just playing at being sexy. I thought the contrast was really stark.

And speaking of sexy women...the aerobics instructor for the week was kind enough to offer an exotic dance class for the ladies twice that week. And Debbie and a bunch of our friends took the class both times. The guys ran up to the gym to hang around outside and watch as much as we could through the window (one guy even taped a few dollar bills on the window for inspiration). Its one of those funny Hedo phenomena weve been hanging around with these naked women all week, but when they put on a few articles of clothing and some high heels and strut around like strippers we go completely nuts. By the way, Debbie and friends were kind enough to show off some of their newly learned moves by the pool one afternoon, and the disco stage one evening, and at the disco bar one other evening - three women dressed as naughty schoolgirls (a recurring theme of this trip). The lap dances in the disco that evening were definitely one of the major highlights of the trip.

People in this forum and on the message board spend a lot of time thinking and talking about Hedo, and were no exception. But its the sort of place that you really cant describe you just have to experience it. Lots of people spend lots of time worrying about things there always seems to be a post about someone worrying if their penis is too small, or their breasts are too lopsided, or if its ok to shave your pubic hair, or what should they do if they get an erection, and so on. But once you actually get down to Hedo and see what it really is you realize that its the easiest, most worry-free place to be in the world. At least thats how it is for us and I think thats because we come with absolutely no agenda, and no expectations. All we try to do is have open minds and open hearts, and look around us and soak up all the energy from everyone there and its because of that that we always have a better time than we did on our previous trip. The board, and the trip reports, and the Hedo book are all great but sometimes it seems that it builds up specific expectations, and then people will inevitably be disappointed. Weve seen miserable people over the years because they didnt witness or participate in an orgy, or a butt chug, or didnt see anyone screwing on the bar, or any of the other things they may have heard about. But were never disappointed, because the only thing we ever expect when we go to Hedo is that well have a great time, and something new will happen in an unexpected way at an unexpected time. Weve had seemingly very laid back trips that will turn completely crazy near the end we never know whats going to happen, and thats very important to us. Of course, everyones Hedo experience is totally different from everyone elses. Some people go to Hedo with very specific ideas to have sex with as many people as they can, to scuba dive, to be naked all day, to get a nice tan, to be completely drunk for an entire week - whatever. And thats all great. We go because we always have the time of our lives in a way we cant anticipate. One thing we do know is that well be in the presence of our favorite people anywhere, all of whom are as relaxed and happy and carefree as we are. And so many times during the day at Hedo we sigh, and pinch ourselves, and realize that were so deeply happy and full of love for everyone around us, and especially each other. A big part of our Hedo experience is the constant flirting with lots of people, and the grabs, and the games its just a fun time playing with sexuality with lots of people youre attracted to and who are feeling totally uninhibited. But the end result of all that is that the two of us feel more deeply in love with each other than at any other time, which is why we seem to tell each other we love each other 30 times a day when were there. I guess that sums up the Hedo experience for us playful sexuality, spontaneity, and being surrounded with the people you love the most and especially the one person you love the most. And the deep feeling that, as the three little birds say, every little things gonna be all right.
