Hedonism 2nd Trip 1st Day 2/28/04 We took some pics from plane of Montego Bay . Got into airport had to wait 20 min or so for bus. We all jumped in, got about 1\2 way and driver asked if we wanted to stop we took vote and decide not! So and hour 15 min later we get there and Start the check in process, Grab a not real quick drink at the bar. Lots of atmosphere to suck up! Bring drinks back to desk got checked in. Followed guy to room. Drop luggage and go for lunch 2:30 lunch ends at 3. Went to sign up for scuba found out I brought the northeastern (cold front) with me. No diving until Monday. Went down the slide till my legs wouldnt go then lazed in hot tub, played in pool, marveled at sand instead of snow. At dinner we had a good time met some really fun people. Had a blast!
Day 2 I was up real early took long walk up the sand. It was heaven to have the whole beach almost to my self. Early enough to not even see but 1\2 a dozen people on the entire walk. Met a nice woman at sandals from England we chatted. Then it was time for breky ? I changed rooms, the horns from road killed me didnt get much sleep so I slept my day away. Sooo my second days a blurrrrrrr ?
Day 3 So breakfast, the smiling face of most if not all of the people is outstanding! Life so great when your vacation is just starting. The walk of people on vacation is different too. Anybody else notice this phenomena? Met up with the diving staff, had a great time. Stowed our gear for our dives. Grabbed towels and waited for the boat. It was a full boat, the vis wasnt what it was it july. The water was a little colder. The divers were a diverse great lot, the fish colorfully wet, the sea fans waved at me. The corral was all different colors. I always get sucked up into the utter beauty of being under the ocean. To look up and see through a wall of water the sun and fish swimming around its a great weird feeling. Well if youre a diver and you went with us youll know who I am by my next sentence. We checked out this new mask It is supposed to keep your ears dry under water and help with equalizing. ? Hi The mask worked for my bud the first day, full beard, mustache and long hair. I however had problems. Just with the dry ears part not with mask.
We moseyed around a bit. Had lots of fun. We met new people seems like every night! I think every country was there. It great fun meeting people from all over. My mouth and eyes water just thinking about the people?place?taste?smell? Hummmmmm The coffee?? Did I mention we did have a tv. Enough said didnt use, It didnt rain, I wasnt sick! ? Umm the internet pay by the minute. No refunds Though it is a faster connection.
Day 4 Pj night We went diving with the maskes. The other diver see the crazy looking masks, a couple ask about them. So far my buds had all the luck. Cluck Cluck ? The first time we came we watched the pj party ( I was not perpared) but we did have a great time thinking up our pjs for next time. So this time we got more into the groove of things. We even went to the Disco ( bump and grind I call it) Well my bud got a jol! A woman came up to him grabbed his beard and procedded to braid it! ? The look on his face was priceless to me. She patted it looked at me, then she smiled and walked away. Wwe call her Zena (her costume form previos night in the entertainment) we did the bumb & grind had a great time! ? Day 5
We sign up for diving every day. So we again had a great start to the day with a boat load of Crazily funny divers. One in particular was the icing for me anyway. He took his frisky pills. Boy was he ever! ? he livened up every boat he was on and many a table too! I shoulda did a name log Durn it sorry cant remember names. I cant spell, and I tend to make up my own words.? I got my ears to stay dry ! yes ! my pony tail was in the way.. Dry ears thats really cool. I give them my seal of approval. Ummm we checked out the piano bar. Didnt stay long it did have people singing. I had ants in my pants wanted to roam around. Checked out the bump and grind musta been to early. Did the slide till I couldnt,. rested up in the spa. We found out about channel 31.
Day 6 Going way tooo fast! We dove with Mr frisky again ? people really do make your vacation. Toga night, we went.Got in toga line, went round and round we all sit down. Zena comes up to my bud and gives me a discusted look ? undoes the crappy braiding Id done rebraided his beard and got back up on stage? LOL Went back on stage. (I got paid off ) umm the next time Ill remember togas could just be paint!!!!! ? The panty checkers were out! I duly elected my self and other fellow divers. No body seemed to mind. Except the one guy, he said I wasnt thourough enough! I might have missed his thong..A good time had by all..
Day 7 Dry eared diving again.Last dive. We have seen so many things on our dives. 2 very large Eagle rays floating what looked to me like a mating dance. A lg seaturtle swimming around. Eels poking up from the corral. Squirrel fish tooling around with their kind. A cloud of dust from the bottom could mean a big monster sting ray just settled in for the wait for lunch. Romping around us came a immence eagle ray all alone cruising thru the water at a fast pace till he saw u. We kinda seemed all over. He spun all around us then was gone. A great thing to see.. lobster,crab,barracuda,yellow,red,brown snappers,puffers,shrimps,frog fish,scorpions,lots The vis is still not as good as in July. Every dive is an adventure and fun. Found a 5 lb weight. No money. Afterward we had Fish fry, then We had dinner ? , were entertained, Beach partied (didnt catch the bon fire) then went on to the disco Umm we musta been early. We then proceeded to side for awhile dithering between the hottub and slide and bar ? and then pool. Went to piano bar for awhile, on to disco..blurry
Leaving day Packed then Partied Glad I was sleeping for the landing It was a doozy. everybody wide eyed and looking at each other. The wing looking rather closer on one side.? My bag was hand delivered the next day. Oh yeah I had a really good time! Jeanne sglass1@hotmail.com
