Hedo II trip report
We just got back last night, had a blast the whole week and already counting down the trip for next year, 364 days and counting.
Sun Arrival Got into Mobay at 4:30 after a little wait got ushered to the taxi by an attendant, we where the only couple on the bus to we didnt get asked to stop at the bar on the way, did get asked to buy Ganja about 4 times including the bus driver and the attendant. Karen unpacked and we got to dinner a little late, after that we where so tired we went to bed about 10 P.M. L We booked Prude Garden view and realized the mistake after about 2 hours while she was unpacking, said hello to about 6 people and got snuffed off each time, decided at dinner to upgrade to nude side the next day.
Mon Day 1 went and upgraded to nude oceanfront, room #2273 best $240.00 ever spent, unfortunately waited until 2 for the bell hop (Michael) to get our bags, had a long talk with a worker and found out a lot about the people and the lifestyle of the Jamaicans. Made it to the nude pool about 3 P.M. Wasted the morning but enjoyed the afternoon in the pool talking and chatting with the best group of people we had ever met. Watched a game of nude twister, still a little inhibited. Ate the Jerked chicken and got ready to go to dinner, (advice for virgins, if you are shy at first and can carry on a conversation after warming up, ask to join someone at the bigger tables, dont stay isolated at the smaller tables.) got involved in the battle of the sexes word of caution games are very sexually oriented so if you feel your spouse would not approve of a game in which you may have to perform a sex act fully clothed with another person then you may need to rethink where you are going. Went to nude hot tub later in evening.
Tues Day 2 anticipation of PJ night, actually played nude twister this time and see a pattern developing. Made reservations at pasta safari for ourselves and D&K who where coming down that day, still a little shy in animalistic party fashion for just painted PJs and decided to wear Karens negligee and robe, got a great reception from Winston, Ray Ray and Lawrence. Think the drinks helped get the outfit on, LOL. After the contest and winning 3rd place for Funkiest outfit got into the groove and couldnt wait to get out of the outfit just to be naked and headed to the nude hot tub. (Making a turn for the better J)
Wed Day 3 a new beginning, played in almost all the games and really started winning Hedo Bucks about $100,000 nude waterslide invasion in early afternoon, played truth or dare after that and a few other demented games. Really getting into the swing. Hung out at the pool, Karen fell asleep at the pool and woke up to find me dancing on the table with the other guys and girls at the pool. Ok we are now hooked. Went to the dive shack and got the staff to blow up the raft we brought, went out in it for a small snooze and then never touched it again. Ate dinner in the dining room and sat through the sale less art auction. Went to Piano Bar then visited the Waterslide for an unscheduled nude waterslide visit, mooned the disco bar from the pool side with a few others. Headed to the Nude Hot Tub.
Thur Day 4 Spent the day shopping with the group we hooked up with, had a good time and got a good deal by asking the bell hop for a taxi, very reasonable price for the ride and took us to a strip mall of sorts and then to the flea market, Believe it or not we saw the happy cat painting at the art auction the night before on the wall of paintings at the flea market. (If you choose to buy from the market great it a good way to see Negril, but you can also get the same deals from the vendors on the beach with the same merchandise) walked to the ATM to get money and went back to the beach to buy a parrot statue we found at the market, be warned if you buy something 4 feet tall you still have to get it home J headed to the pool for jerked chicken, but decided to eat in the room because it rained like hell the rest of the afternoon, went for a short swim in the dining room to head to the computer to send a trip report to the kids. Got ready for TOGA NIGHT and then headed to the piano bar. Talked to Winston to have him help me set up something special for Saturday night to celebrate Karens Birthday. Starting to really feel like a big extended family. Headed to the hot tub and the atmosphere had changed from couples to lifestyle PDA. Same group just a little more friendly.
Fri Day 4 Played all games again and still was trying to figure out how the hell to get the monstrosity home we had purchased. Spring breakers started to appear and you could tell from the lack of respect to the property. (flip flop in the tree and a homeless rock) Stayed in pool all day and played games on the beach. Ate the Jerked chicken at the usual time and got ready for dinner, after dinner was beach night, had a blast even if it was on the prude side, but nothing prudish here.J .. headed back to the hot tub for more fun and games.
Sat Day 5 Played games, hit the nude slide leading a group of day trippers with us. Hmmmm Alcohol and Day trippers not a good combo. Won 1st place for biggest splash, headed back for naked twister and the drunkest day tripper decided to open the bottle of rum, not a good scene, since that group was the only group playing the twister Winston gave them the opened bottle, Played ring toss which they also destroyed with their antics, especially after the same drunk tried to impale herself on the bottle, makes me feel sorry for Martin and Winston having to deal with them. Got back to the room and had the dreaded eviction notice on the door, took our shower and I head up to get cigs and left Karen to blow dry her hair, I come back into the room and shes laying on the bed saying hey dear the room is spinning, found crackers and cheese to get her sober up so we could get dinner, we almost contemplated filling out an application to stay longerL headed to dinner. Winston came through and helped me pull off the surprise party for Karen with the EC staff singing happy birthday to her and presented her with a cake and champagne before the variety show and then we all met up at the piano bar, I actually sang a few songs must have been those good drinks that kept flowing all day/. We all invaded the Prude Hot Tubs, seems to many prudes and spring breakers in the nude side and after watching the springbreaker take on so many guys at one time, lets just say no vinnie got left out... so we took a trip to the Prude Hot Tubs and made them the new nude hot tubs for a while.
Sun Day 6 a day of mourning, saying our goodbyes, 2 other couples remaining until Mon and Tues, the larger part of our little group all heading home the same dayL
Now the fun begins, Bus leaves at 11:00 Jamaican time or 11:30 we get to the airport at 12:30 and wait, and wait and wait. No ATM working, the ticket counter machines are down and stupid me no cash, which means no lunch or dinner. Finally get on the plane at 5:30 and take off at 6:30 already to late to catch our connecting flight at Charlotte. Get to Charlotte and get told we will be put up until the next day. We fight a little and get upgraded to first class and arrive at IDA at 11:30.
All in all, Hell of a Vacation, and still never did see Sunrise, but had a great time, I want to personally thank the EC staff for all the energy they put into helping make Hedo what it is, I think the guests do a good job but to tell you the truth, without Winston, Ray Ray, Lawrence, Rose, Latoya, Galen, and Martin I dont know if I would visit again. I feel they are the star of the show and help make everyone one big happy family. Some may not like to get involved in games and antics, but really if you dont want to do that, rethink going, its not going to work just going to watch you need to get involved. go to Grand Lido or Sandals. IMHO.
Hope to see everyone there next year same time.
Overall, Food was great everywhere, Buffet, Pasta and japanese (small portions) we gained about 15 pounds each.
