Norma and Scotts Hedo Trip Report 5/27-5/31

I dont know what it was about this trip but I had visions in my mind of all of the things that either I would do or could do. Well, that is exactly where they stayed---in my mind. Not that I was disappointed because the trip was wonderful and I have plenty of memories and stories to tell. That is to the people that read this. Why I would be telling my neighbor, I have no idea. . My neighbor??? For heavens sake, my oldest child lives next door and he is the last person I would tell this to. Actually there really isnt anything out of the ordinary that I would be embarrassed about. Well, yes we were bare assed most of the duration of our Hedo II stay, but that isnt news.

Let me start from the beginning of our trip. It had been a little over a year and a half since our last trip to Negril so we were looking forward to getting away. So for the next 11 days we would spend 5 days at Hedo II and the remainder at Firefly which is closer to town and much smaller. We drove to Minneapolis which is about 3.5 hours from home and spent the night at a Super 8. I use that loosely because we got there about midnight and by the time we got to sleep it was 1:30. The ride to the airport left at 4:00 a.m. Our flight was scheduled for 6:00 and left on time. Oh yeah, did I say that someone left our tickets sitting on one of those displays to check the size of your carry on?? Wasnt me! We were on our way!!! The flight was pretty good and we arrived in MoBay about 11:30 a.m. I was kind of  looking for other people that I had chatted with on the net but we were scurried toward the bus that was already loaded to take us to Hedo. Shortly after we sat down and the bus moved forward, I heard a voice from the back say anyone been on dennyp or hedo-online sights? It didnt take me long to recognize Sean and Mary. My gift of gab forced me to move to the back of the bus to spend the rest of the ride chatting with them. The other couples were also very friendly so we all enjoyed a good ride, unlike the bumpy hellish ones of the past. The entrance of Hedo II greeted us just as in the past and it felt great to be back. Our rooms were not ready so we all sat down for a bite to eat and a cool drink in the dining room. It was a good chance to get to know a couple of people. The rest of the day consisted of sunning, hot tubbing, dinner, pajama party and for some of us bed. No I didnt say sleep because for some reason I was reprogrammed to not feel much like sleeping that night. It might have had something to do with the fact that someone kept me up for a couple of reasons. One being that he wanted to stay in the hot tub and two being that when he got out of the hot tub and finally came to the room he wasnt feeling well. So Nurse Norma kept a close eye on him until his stomach couldnt tolerate avoiding the inevitable. Somehow I didnt mind because I ended up strolling the entire complex and enjoying the fact that not a sole was anywhere to be found. The sounds of the birds, the sea, and the quiet were awesome. The next couple of days were lazy and consisted of sunning and eating, and the best evening entertainment two people could ask for. Lol. I think being married for so many years either gives you lots of practice or the change in atmosphere just feels like nothing youve ever felt before. Or maybe seeing some of the performances around the hot tub just triggers a person. Whatever it is, I dont really care cause I think I wore him out. Ive heard of multiples before, but this was CRAZY!!! And I loved every second!! On another note I also enjoyed the piano bar and wouldnt have missed it for anything. Even if I did have to go by myself one night, it didnt matter because I was going to strain my voice no matter what. The second night Dave was there I decided to make up my little Heinie song. It was fun. Whether anyone else liked it, who cares?? Lol.

One night our neighbor to the left of our room must have had the same stuff to drink that my hubby had a couple of nights earlier cause he kept taking one step then a two step then kept trying to high five me. When we returned to our room much later he was still high fiving while holding on to the stair rail. Ray didnt feel so hot the next day. Maybe it was something about the second floor rooms by the hot tub that possessed the men. Either that or they are just totally letting loose on vacation because they work their ever loving butts off at home.

Now when it comes to the woman I met on this trip I have to say that Ginger left quite an impression on not only me, but others as well. Whether it was her smile and ability to mingle in a crowd or her non-stop on the go personality, she is a real sweetheart. Kenny and Ginger together are a terrific couple. I didnt talk a whole lot to them, but enjoyed when we did..

One afternoon we sat in the corner of the hot tub and started talking to a young couple, then realized who they were from messages in dennyps sight. They were such a nice couple. I am sure they will never forget their lesson on yes dear that Scott loves to talk about and how he survived 25 miserably married years with yours truly. This couple was having the time of their life. Ill bet they served eat your word soup to those at home that didnt want them to go to Hedo. I think they have plans to return next year.

We had to leave for our other hotel on Saturday but ended up staying at Hedo until about 1 a.m. We had spent most of the evening with Sean and Mary. Thanks for letting us use your room for changing. I am looking forward to meeting up with you guys sometime in the cities. We might have to dress though. Lol. We really enjoyed your company.

I tend to talk waaaaaaaaaay too much so it is time to end my trip story. It isnt really ending though because we can be together everyday. Thats pretty much 24 hours a day for us. This vacation has come and gone, but as the year flies by if it is meant to be, we will be back and will have another great time and meet with our new friends again
