Laird and Mary's Hedo II trip report

By Laird

FIRST
This trip would not have been no where near any fun without my sweetie Mary!!!!!! Love you!!

After much research (special thanks to the DennyP website!!) and discussion, we chose Hedo II for our vacation. We tried to picked a time when it appeared that it would not be totally crowded or packed with singles. We could not have picked a better time! The first day, we both agreed that we will be returning!

ATTITUDE
We left all of it at home, with the exception to have a good time and no means no. We agreed on the rules before we left and had no problems! I can't count the times I smiled and said hello to someone, including ALL the staff (see below). I thanked them every chance I could for what they do. One of them (I forget his name) even painted a rock for us just because we smiled and said hello!

ARRIVAL
The flight, immigration and customs went without problem. We quickly located the Superclubs desk where they gathered our bags. Waited approximately 20 minutes for them to gather up all the people going to Hedo II and the bus was on the way. Jamaican driving just has to be experienced, it is pretty much crazy, plus they drive on the left (wrong) side of the road! We got to ride in the front passenger seat and this really made it interesting. Our bus driver (I think his name was Buckman) was pretty cool. The bus was kinda quiet except for the 2 guys behind us (sorry, I can't remember names). We tired our best to get the bus crowd going, but it remained quiet for the most part. Of course we had to do the obligatory stop for the Redstripe (woohoo!!). Guzzled it down cause I am used to no open containers. Made the 2nd half of the bus ride more entertaining.

CHECK IN
Check in went without problem. Our room was ready and they took our bags for us. Then we walked straight into the wet T-shirt contest going on at the main stage!! The contest made spring break look like amateurs!!

PEOPLE WE MET
Everyone was great!!!! I must apologize  because I am bad with names.... so if I miss your name just email me a nasty email!!  LOL..... Ozzy, Rob and Allise, Don and Liz, Jim and Judy, Jeff and Diane, Alyana and ? (sorry), Cindy and Greg, Richie and Kyrin and the ones who I forgot their names (but not the good time we had!!!!!!!) Quess we'll all have to go back the same time next year!!!!

ROOMS
Dated, but comfy but we didn't come for the rooms! The A/C worked so-so as did the hair dryer (for her). The shower goes from hot to cold and back without warning so be careful.

GROUNDS
Just like they advertise, a lush tropical paradise. Always well kept. Paved paths are hard on the feet. Pool decks and ALL tile were EXTREMELY SLIPPERY!!! BE cautious!! I managed to slip and bruise and cut my foot.

ACTIVITIES
We tried the trapeze on our first day. Looks real easy from the ground!! Then Mary played volleyball. There were watersports there, but sand gravity set it soon after our first venture to the nude side (see below).

GOING NAKED
Ok, the whole reason for going and laying down the $$$ to be there! We had been there for almost 4 hours and had yet to venture to the nude side. So we headed that way. I was a bit apprehensive at first, not knowing what to expect. Well, we dropped our clothes and entered the twilight zone.... The nude pool/ beach/ Delroy's Bar/ Robert's Grill was the place to be!!! Everyone was great and friendly. Mary had planned on doing some of the water sports but sand gravity got the best of us!! Although our room (Oceanview) was on the far end of the prude side, we were hooked and spent 90% of our time on the nude side.

STAFF
Awesome. No problems with any of them. They did a great job!!! Form the bartenders to housekeeping to the grounds stafft to the ECs.
Talked quite a bit with most of the ECs. When nothing was going on they would sit and talk with us (I think they missed some activities because of this. Oppss!!).

PDAs
Saw some and caused some... hehehehehe..... Not many during the day. The nude hot tub at night was the place around mid night

DISCO
Small, crowed and hot. We actually only went there on PJ night. Mary won 1st for her costume and we won 3rd as a couple (woohoo!!!) After midnight, they let the people in with street clothes on, we ducked out (to the nude hot tub, hehehe).

PIANO BAR
Mon, what a blast!!!! David was way cool!! We ended up there every night but Tues. It's all in fun and if you don't like it, then as the warning goes through out the nite, "Get the F- out"  ...lol...

FOOD
Robert's Grill on the nude side was great! We had burgers, jerk chicken and fresh lobster (had to buy that). We shared some of the lobster with a few of the ECs and Augustos. Augustos kept the nude beach looking good!!! All of the restaurants were great (Pastafari's is the only one in the A/C though. The dinner buffet was so-so.

SWINGERS
There were some there. They did not shun as at all even though we declined. And we all continued to hang out and have a good time!

VINNEYS AND WALLYS
There were some. They were not a problem. We shooed one away and that was about it.

MOST MEMORABLE MOMENTS
Being with my sweetie in paradise (love you Mary!!)... Laying naked on the beach surrounded by 4 beautiful women, drinking bloody marys, eating lobster and smoking Cuban cigars! Getting electrocuted by the lamp when our room flooded (ouch!!), but I lived to tell about it! Dave at the piano bar.... Can't say much more.... What goes at hedo, stays at hedo.. heheheheh....

Check out went without problem.... We are definitely going back!!!!!

If you are considering a trip to Hedo II, Just do it!!! No problem mon!!!

Only 300 some odd days til we go back to our new home!!!! Oh sh#t, I think DIF has set i now.......
