Hedonism II
April 21 - 29
This was out 15th trip out to Negril and as usual we were very excited. We came into Mobay in the evening and it seems like the bus driver really took his time driving so it took about 1 1/2 hours. Nevertheless, it was pretty quick.
Check in took about 10 minutes, room was in working order except for the shower (what else is new) and the air conditioner never felt like it was really on but we didn't spend to much time in the room. We had dinner at Pastafari that evening and decided to go to bed early so we would have energy for Pajama party the next evening.
Weather was great the entire week. Just had a couple of days of high winds but never enough to keep anyone away. The hotel seemed pretty full about 80-85% I would guess but we were always able to get a dinner reservations without a problem.
Now on to the good, the bad and the ugly.
Let's start with the GOOD,
Staff - Front Desk, Dining Room Staff, EC's, Charlie, Scumba, Michelle, Delroy and Robert. Always an excellent job well done.

The BAD,
Lunch and Dinner - I don't think I can tell the difference anymore because the dinner is just a different variation of lunch and then it starts to blend from day to day so it seems like you're eating the same thing for days. I know we don't go for the food but grilled cheese and hamburgers get tired after a while.
SHOWERS - It's obvious so please, if anyone is listening, do something about it!!
Rooms - Hello Superclubs - new bedspreads and sheets and try to go a litte crazy and maybe upgrade the furniture and beds? but the rooms really need to be worked on.
now, the UGLY,
This is the first time we've traveled in April and met some new groups who were not what we expected. We travel in October, January, September and July and all of the groups that we have met are all social and go outside of their groups to be friendly. These groups, NOT! Later in the week we did met some great people who were not there with groups and had a wonderful time as well as seeing people that we've met in the past. Matching t-shirts, cups, hats, straws, whatever that's fine I guess but taking over sides of the pool, seats etc. just not our thing. It's vacation not grade school!
Aside from the ugly we had great laughs with those we met and had a memorable vacation. We went to relax, spend time with each other because we're always busy with work, kids, life and have some fun. Mission accomplished. We'll always have complaints but Hedonism has the kind of magic that erases all the bad and ugly and keeps us coming back for more.
