Mike & Melanie - WWW2004 May Hedonism III

OK so Im a little late with the report. At least I got it done.

This was our 4th trip to H3 and our second with the WWW Spring group.

Getting there: Uneventful - Flight was on time and not even full so we were able to move to better seats and spread out and have some room. No problems with customs or immigration. Get to the Superclubs desk check in and go outside for a smoke. Before we finish our bags are on their way to the bus and we are off. We had the usual stop for Red Strip with unusual introduction. We had 2 single guys on the bus that kept asking about all the wild stories they heard about Hedo and when all the action starts at hot tub. Im standing out side having a Red Stripe and a smoke. One of them comes and asks, you guys are swingers right? I just kind of stood there staring at him. Well you guys are going to Hedo right so you must be swingers. I finally reply, No, but thanks for asking. Next time it might be nice to introduce your self first though.

Day 2 Day happening:

The whole trip was the same every day. Lots of partying and drinking, body shots, squirt gun fights, talking, and volley ball, during the day. At night more drinking, partying, and other fun activities. Its really hard to put a day to each activity so Ill just bullet some highlights and things I learned on this trip.

Highlights:

Things learned:

While we did have fun on this trip we did have some bad things too. Fist of all we found that the food on the buffet was nowhere near as good as it has been in the past. The selection wasnt as big, what they had wasnt very good and they served the same thing all week. On a good note the food at all the restaurants was great. With exception that the deep fryer kept breaking at the Scotch Bonnet. Although they had them at the Nude pool all week so a quick run over there kept those who needed fries happy. (Thank you Patrick)

This was the first time in 4 years we ever had a problem with the water and it was a problem. We had hot water the first day we were there and that was it. We didnt get another hot (even warm) shower till we got home.

As mentioned above we had a problem with the pictures that the Hedo cameraman takes through out the week. The night before we left another member of the WWW group informed me that one of the people with our group bought a picture of Mel from the Photo desk that morning. Well I asked the guy about it and sure enough he did. I knew who he was and let it go until I found out that he wasnt the only who was buying pictures of her. Apparently one guy really liked Mel and bought 1 of every picture of her that they had at the photo desk. I spoke to management about it and they said they have no control over what the photo desk does they are an outsourced company, but he would talk to them and have them call me. No call ever came. I did go down to the photo desk to speak with them and them claimed they never sell photos to anyone if they are not in the picture. I explained that I had spoke with people who have purchased such pictures and was told I was lying.
I did get them to delete all the photos of my wife from the computer. Then I get home and find the pictures posted on the website of one of the radio stations that were there at the same time. I contacted the radio station and they had pictures taken down right way and said that someones personal picture must have gotten mixed up with the ones taken for the station. (Sure what ever) While there was nothing revealing about the picture nor was she doing anything she wouldnt want people to see. (One of the pictures was of us having dinner at Pastafari) I still think its wrong that Hedo would let this happen to their guests. We contacted Kevin Levee and he has assured us that he addressed the issue and things will be noticeably different when we return and compensated us for our trouble.

Now the worst thing about thing about this trip didnt happen till after we got home and I mentioned it above. Apparently my wife and I and our close friends were found to be nasty and mean to others on the trip because we didnt include them in our fun. I tried to find out from this person what exactly we did that was so bad and the only thing they could say was they were not included. Now I was honestly hurt by this. I have never in any way done any thing but be friendly to people. As a matter of fact one couple in the group made a point to send us a special that you for making them feel so welcome and comfortable. Stating that their trip would not have been as much fun if it wasnt for us. Now that being said I would like to state for the record that it is not my job to make sure you feel included. I am at Hedo to enjoy myself. If you want to join in the fun go for it the more the merrier, but Im not going out of my way to make sure everyone is included in what Im doing. If you see people having fun then go Join in, but dont expect them to come and get you.

All in all it was a great trip, but I think after out next trip in October we are going to take a break from Hedo for a while. We still love the place but there are other places to go and it really feels like Hedo is starting to let things slip cause people are going to come back anyway. From now on we plan on switching one year at Hedo and one year someplace else. Believe it or not there other places out there folks and there is such a thing as too much of a good thing.
