The 4th annual Wet, Wild, and Wicked Winter trip is history. But memories of our vacation and the friends we shared the week with will remain within us.
This trip was a bit unique for me. I had the fortunate pleasure of sharing it with my girlfriend Lana. It was her first hedonistic experience. By the end of the first day she was planning for the next trip. After being at Hedo ii as many times as I have been, sharing the experience with a "virgin" added a bit of extra spice to the trip.
This was my 4th trip to Jamaica (3rd to Hedo II) in 2002. It's very difficult to explain the feeling of being "home" again that is felt the moment the aircraft doors open. The bus ride to the resort was a great way of letting Lana see the countryside and get acclimated to Jamaica. There were 2 other WWW couples with us on the bus which let us start the party early. Even with 2 pit stops along the way - the trip was just under 90 minutes.
As I usually do, I'll let the other WWWers provide details on the week's activities and events. Even though the week started off with no air-conditioning in the disco for the welcoming party, the rest of the week was uphill. We had great weather for both catamaran trips (morning and night). I would like to especially thank the WWWers for their outstanding generosity with their donations for the Christmas gifts for the children. A group of us personally delivered some of them to the children of the Santoy Basic School. Diane came up with the idea of doing Christmas stocking so the kids would have some extra gifts to enjoy immediately. From what I could see, the kids really enjoyed it. Thanks again to everyone who participated.
One measure of the success of the trip is that I have already received several requests for quotes and one actual booking for the December 2003 WWW trip. Soon come!
