DennyP - July, 2002 Wet, Wild, and Wicked

I've mentioned in past trip reports that each Wet, Wild, and Wicked trip seems to be better than the last. This trip was no exception. It was a fantastic time. It's amazing how easy it is to pick up right where you left off with old friends. Part of that is due to the close contact many keep throughout the year. Even more amazing is the quality of the WWW "virgins". Many friendships were started and are sure to continue after the trip. So many people are already planning for the next trip (it will probably be 7/5-7/12).

I can't explain the magic that seems to permeate the WWW group ... but I am thankful for it. I am very thankful for all the WWW attendees that together made it a memorable trip for the group and for me personally in a very special way. Let's do it again next year ... see you there.

Now for some notes:

• The official word from management is that you can be nude anytime on the waterslide and the new pools on the prude side. You can be nude in the main pool after midnight.
• There is less of a reason to fly between MoBay and Negril. The bus ride was just over an hour each way. The only bad stretch of road is through Lucea, and they were repaving part of that last week. However, they still schedule your return bus for about 4 hours before your flight home. So flying one-way might still be an option for some.
• The local news was talking about having large cruise ships docking in Lucea. I wonder if that means some day trips to Hedo - ugh!
• We collected several dozen backpacks full of school supplies and other material for the children of the Revival school. Many thanks to those that participated. Your generosity is appreciated.
• The first ever WWW fashion show was a lot of fun. Thanks to Lana, Clista, and Sherri for their help. And thanks to 25 participants. You were all lovely. Let's do that again.
