John & Ellen - 07/99 (Wet, Wild, and Wicked)

John & Ellen's WWW99
Trip Report
July 10 thru July 17

All trips to Hedonism begin at some point, ours began a year and a half ago when we went to Point Village, from Christmas >97 to New Years day >98. While at the Point we did our power walk from the far side of Point Village to Poinciana almost every day. Ellen saw that those naked people at Hedo weren't too weird, so we took a day pass and decided that this was a place to return to. I searched and found the WWW group happening over our 28th anniversary. I booked and we went. I changed computers to get on the java chat line and never regretted it. I knew that these were a bunch of people I wanted to meet up close and personal. The trip to MoBay on Air Jamaica was uneventful, we had reserved bulkhead seats, thanks Lance. At MoBay I expected to see Robin And Damian as well as Jerry but the plane from Philly was delayed and didn't land until we were thru customs. At Air Negril the adventure begins when we meet Jim and Shirley for the flight to Hedo. The pilots arriving 15 mins. Late said we were going to Kingston after we took off to the west they said we were going to Grand Cayman. In and out of the clouds to GNAT a good landing Hedo in sight. We hung around the reception desk until they took our room vouchers and told us to come back at 3. We grabbed some dirty bananas at Jim's suggestion, great idea! Off to the nude beach in search of friends. We found Denny, (hello Kathy and Bob) He gave us the key his room where we left our clothes, thanks Denny. Back at the nude pool we ran into all the people I had been chatting with for the last few months. It was a blur of friends that I met there for the first time. The next couple of hours filled with introductions and greetings of long lost friends. At three I went to the main lobby clad in a towel to get our room keys. Towels were in fashion as Sharon was also there getting her key, dressed also in a towel. Back at the pool I tried a few of Scumba's blender drinks. Saturday ended somehow after dinner, entertainment and the hot tub. Sunday morning started the Ground Hog Day's ritual. I got up early, got coffee at Robert's and reserved a couple of chairs on the fish hook jetty for coffee. Ellen joined me after a bit. Then we threw some clothes on and to breakfast. The omelets were good. We then walked the beach to the end of Poinciana's beach. Another day we played tennis. Then back to the sand gravity. Danny the drummer, Ro, Gums and Post kept everyone amused. Any fragile egos were destroyed in the sun. Floating and sunning became worthwhile causes with the break to DELROY's now and then. Some time during the week we discovered Grilled Cheese Sandwiches at Robert's grill. Why bother to get Adressed@ to go to the main dining hall, we ate on the beach. Then we schmoozed a bit in the pool, and ducked the splat ball. A bit later we took our afternoon nap, do I miss those naps! When we awoke we went to the hot tub, more great people to talk to. The breaks in the routine included the wet tshirt contest (HH said Ano one has semifinals@). PJ night at the disco, I don't think that we ever danced for an hour and half without a break before. For Ellen to stay in a hot, closed room like the disco, and for me to stay dancing, for that long speaks well for the energy and views of the PJ party. Wednesday was both Denny's roast, which we almost slept thru, after our nap. Followed by the best cruise of my life on the catamaran. Thursday was the talent show with the great www.villagesluts and the Toga contest. We did enjoy the little gifts we won despite the scenery falling down on my back, ( at first I thought it was Shaka spanking me again,) and especially the shouting at the other resorts at the end. Friday night was our anniversary dinner at Rasta Pasta's. We managed to stay up late enough to be at the piano bar for the sing along with the ,Baron and Theresa. Denny and Diane, Roger and Judi, Glen Clark, singing happy birthday to the birthday boy Jay in his birthday suit. Having my first Flaming Bob. Finishing off in the hot tub with good tequila from Lance and Jessica, or was that Thursday with Lance and Jessica? Saturday we were evicted, we stayed on a couple of extra hours by taking a flight on Tim Air. Oops forgot the sunblock that day and we got a little red, at we found again that aloe works! After we checked out we sought the Nude Pool mix from the Djs on CD. When we found the right person there was Sharon pulling her suitcase up the hill. In many ways this was not the best trip we have been on, but it was the best vacation of all times. I never knew why any one would spend all day on the beach in the sun, I did it for a week and still don't know. The best part of Hedo was the Ex. temp, impromptu bits like while floating out on rafts and returning to shore when someone calls out that Ellen has to pull me in and we are in a race with Danny the drummer and Carmen. We lost, it was fixed!!! To Richard the RAIN GOD Much respect. To all the beach slugs (registered trademark of Damian) much respect, eighteen red stripes and a gin and tonic, please DelRoy. To the guys on the prude side who didn't know that when Iaccosted the parasailers for being whimps for not going up into the lightning storms. Get real! We only offered a line and a key to all who were up in the air the day before during a thunderstorm. To bandanna Danny thanks for the Purple Rain body stripes and all that followed. To Hippy Type Danny (the drummer) much respect for you being yourself. But above all for Denny for being himself (and for Diane for keeping him together)and collecting this group of reprobates ,,,. Who I would follow to the end of the earth.....maybe just to Sips and Bites .........next time. The beauty of Hedonism II is truly the people who go there. We met too few of the WWWers I intended to meet and too many others just in passing. Richard and Rebecca, Roger and Judi we enjoyed your company. The single guys Jerry with Tom and the birthday boy Jay it was our pleasure knowing you. The Baron and Theresa always gracious with a great presence and a commanding voice. All of the beach slugs remain behind my eyelids. I will still look to avoid Kathy and Bob's splat ball whenever I go in a nude pool. Robert's Grill's jerk chicken and fish are not to beunderestimated,(you could always tell when the jerk chicken was ready when eight people left the hot tub all at once.) There always was enough variety of food to satisfy almost anyone. The Air conditioning and thermostat worked in our room, 2175. If they put a new washer in the cold water faucet I think I might be able to control the shower temperature just another adventure taking a shower. The adventure continues at home reliving that week and awaiting the next. Respect
