9/14-9/16

We arrived to the resort on Friday evening at about 7pm.  We stopped by the airport at a Super Wal Mart and bought some lunchmeat, bread and drinks to bring with us as we knew the resort did not sell dinner or alcohol.  The resort is located in a residential neighborhood and is very subtle from outside.  We buzzed to get in and were greeted by Dewey.  He brought us to the office, offered us a margarita, then showed us around.  Everyone who was sitting around at the time said hello and was friendly.  The room was better than expected with some nice amenities, like Rusk shampoo and soap, a dvd movie, microwave in a little bar area and a descent tv, which we never used.  We scarfed down a sandwich and a drink in our room, then headed out to the pool to relax.  Although it was dark at this point, it was warm and there were a number of people sitting around still.  We sipped a few cocktails and relaxed.  It was nice to be outside on a warm night, looking at the stars, enjoying a drink, knowing that we had all night and the next day to do nothing but sit by the pool and relax.  There is something so relaxing about being naked!  We soon wandered over to the Jacuzzi and then back to our lounge chairs.  Awhile afterwards, a group of women dressed in some very sexy lingerie strutted their way to the “disco”.  Mind you, the disco is more of a playroom from what we saw while there.  There is music pumped throughout the resort, so there is no specific disco dance music.  The room is also about the size of one hotel room with a sofa, round bed and a couple of lounge chairs.  This group of about 5 couples brought out an adult toy, which basically was a bench which two women sat on and “had fun”.  We had fun sitting in the room people-watching then eventually went back poolside.  Dewey walks around with bottles of different alcohol that he offers you in “shot” format.  We had some vodka/mango juice which was tasty.  We ended up in bed around 10pm after a long day of both traveling to get to the resort.

We didn’t sleep well Friday night because the air conditioner was extremely loud and the music played pretty much all night.  We awoke Saturday morning pretty early and loved opening the French doors in the morning to the fresh, warm air while lying naked in our very comfortable king sized bed.  We ultimately wandered out to the pool to sit in the early morning sun.  This is when we realized how relaxing the resort was.  Something about the way it is designed – palm trees and foliage, the colors and overall atmosphere.  We walked into the “lobby” to see what breakfast was and I tried some of the fried rice in a crock pot that they had just put out.  It was delicious.  All I know is it had pine nuts and a great flavor and was very tasty.  They also had some granola bars, pastry, oatmeal and hard boiled eggs.  I had some of the coffee they had out which was really bad.  On Saturday, we basically sat poolside all day.  The weather was perfect – warm but with a breeze.  At first we thought we could never sit at the pool all day in 100+ degree heat, but it ended up being pleasant. We spent a lot of time in the pool and there ended up being a breeze which was pleasant.  There were a number of guests who came into the resort for just the day and it was fairly crowded, but never unpleasantly so.  There was a lot of sexual activity going on at different points and mostly couples who were there together, with a little bit of minor swapping.  The crowd generally was 30-40-50’s and lots of hard bodies. I got the feeling some of the guests knew each other from attending previously?  Everyone was nice and we had a really great day.  Throughout the day, there is ice water available in the lobby as well as iced canned drinks.  Around lunch time, they served fried chicken, potato and macaroni salad and some other snacks like chips.  Dewey also walked around serving iced margaritas and other drinks.  There was always a snack of some kind if you were hungry.  Nothing fancy.

We went into shower around 5pm ready to clean up and get some food.  We decided to venture into Palm Springs, which was about 15-20 minutes away.  The room had a magazine which offered a list of restaurants in the area.  We headed to the area we thought had some good options and after getting lost a little bit, settled on the Chop House.  We had an excellent dinner and then drove back to the resort.  We headed back out to the pool to have a few drinks.  It was fairly quiet at that point, but over time, more guests arrived, some of whom were there just for the night I believe.  We ran out of 7-up and wondered if we could grab one from the lobby.  We asked and they were happy to hand us a couple of sodas, which we appreciated.  Dewey made his rounds with shots of tequila and mango/vodka shots. There were a lot of couples activities going on that night.  We had a great time just wandering from each area enjoying ourselves. There was a lot of people watching going on because there were so many new couples hanging out.  At the end of the night as we got ready to go back to our room, the scene ended up being a little annoying as some of the people there seemed to be interested in making sure you were watching more than anything.  But that didn’t detract from us having a great time.  We rolled into bed around midnight and had a great night sleep.  That night, the music wasn’t as loud and we didn’t run the air conditioner.  The rooms had fans, so we weren’t too hot at all.

The next morning we awoke around 7:30am and packed and left.  Leaving the resort, it was a clear blue day with palm trees in the sky and we were sad to leave.  We definitely would like to consider going back, especially since it is only a 1 hour flight for us.  Overall, I would say the weekend was relaxing and fun. The resort is worth the price and the staff are super friendly and accommodating and the accommodations were pretty nice.
