Boo & Red - December, 2006

Well, we're back from our weekend trip to Sea Mountain and we had a
fabulous time!

We arrived on Friday well after our scheduled time due to a flight
reroute, and were very happy to finally be there instead of in an
airport. Even though we were pretty late, we were warmly greeted by
Dewey and the staff. Dewey gave us a quick overview of the spa and
showed us to our room.

The grounds are really amazing. The entire area has a very welcoming
East Asian, Zen garden feel. There are bamboo plants all around,
thatched umbrellas by the pool and many sculptures placed around the
area. It really does set a peaceful, relaxing and sensual mood.

On the way to our room, Dewey took us through the main play space.
It's a large play area with a fireplace and dancing pole on one end
of the room as well as some comfy chairs and sofa on the opposite
side. However, the center piece of the room is the large circular bed
available for any and all to use. In fact, as we came through, a
couple was already making use of it! The room was pleasantly warm
despite the fact it was a rather cool night thanks to a fire was
already going in the fireplace. While we were there, this was the
primary place where people congregated for play and showing off,
though play can and does take place anywhere.

Right beside the main play room was the hot tub, a large space that
would seem to easily accommodate 15-20 people. Most of our time was
spent there and it proved to be a very popular spot for general
flirting, chatting and some play as well.

And lucky us...our room (#9) was right by the hot tub! We could
simply look out our front door and see who was in or at the tub. It
was truly great not only for people watching but to put on a private
show of our own! ;)

The rooms themselves are a huge selling point for the resort. As far
as we know, all have tiled floors, large beds, private bathrooms as
well as a microwave, fridge and coffeemaker (if we're incorrect on
this, please feel free to reply and let us know). In fact, we both
felt that the rooms were so comfortable we could easily see making a
week of it at the resort.

After stripping down, we immediately headed to the hot tub to unwind
after our eventful travel day. Everyone we met was very nice and
welcoming. We ended up in the play room later that night and were
joined by multiple couples during our romp. There are few things
better than having hot sex with your partner while another couple is
playing right next to you... well, except maybe their joining in!
Boo's favorite moment during a play session was when Red cried
out "Well HELLO there!" and looked down to see a very talented female
hand tickling Red's tender bits. And it got even hotter from
there! ;-)

The breakfast and snacks the resort provided were enough to keep us
going through the day. Even if you're not a fried rice fan, Dewey's
was fantastic - a definite must try. Since we are primarily
vegetarians Dewey even offered to whip up their lunchtime oriental
chicken salad without chicken. On of the good-to-know things is that
the breakfast/snack room is by the office and, during our time there,
seemed always to be stocked with a variety of munchies (chips, fruit,
cheese etc) as well as a carafe each of red and white wine and a
pitcher of VERY potent margaritas! After the first round of
margaritas upon our stressful arrival, we decided to stick with
wine. ;)

Which brings us to Dewey and the staff...they are all wonderful. They
are all very hospitable and accommodating. Dewey is an exemplary
host, always willing to shoot the breeze or talk about the spa and
his vision for it. His devotion makes the space what it is...it is
truly a reflection of him and his laid back attitude and sense of
fun. Quite a few times that weekend the frozen tequila spray bottle
made guest appearances. ;-)

While there, we also took advantage of a couples massage. Normally
Boo doesn't care for massages, but Red had needed one for a
week or two (and as a side note, one of their therapists also knows
reflexology which was a perfect compromise for Boo). Since it's
become such a hot topic, we want to make it clear that the massages
are VERY professional. Unfortunately that means no happy endings, but
we're sure you could find some willing guests who would be more than
happy to help you out if that's what you were looking for.

It was cool and windy while we were at Sea Mountain, though
during the day it got into the 70's. We mostly enjoyed hanging
out in the hot tub, our room and the play space. For us, it was just
too chilly to venture into the pool, even though it is heated. This isn't a

complaint at all though since we had some much fun in the hot tub.

Having been there, we learned a thing or two that we plan to remember
for the next trip, and thought we'd share with others.

1. For some reason, our skin got really, REALLY dry while we were
there. I think it was a combination of our being unaccustomed to the
dry air, and the chlorine in the mineral water filled hot tub. We
ended up using all of the small bottles of lotion we brought with us.
Next time, we plan to pick up a large bottle on the way there to
reapply with often to prevent getting so painfully dried out.

2. Along the same line, you might want to bring some bottled water.
We picked up a 6-pack of 16 oz bottles and went through it in one
day. I'm thinking a large jug wouldn't be out of the question
depending on how long you plan to stay.

3. Lastly, we wished we'd had a bottle
of Baileys or Frangelico for our morning coffee...not only would it
have made waking up even more fun, but it would also be good to chase
away any residual hangover from the previous evening's festivities!
There is a liquor store just down the street from the spa, so next
time, we'll be ready!

All in all, we were absolutely THRILLED with the spa and agreed that
we'll be back on a quarterly basis if we can swing it (no pun
intended).
