Pat & Heaven - January, 2011

The facility itself needs a little maintenance but our room was quite nice. We had a spectacular view of the beach. The phone and TV did not work and despite our telling the from office, they were never fixed during our stay. The phone would have been convenient when we needed to contact the office. We did not care about the TV as we seldom watch TV anyway.

The food was quite good. My experience with “all inclusive” has been mixed but mostly bad as far as food goes. At “N”, the food and service was above average. The staff and the manager were very friendly and very responsive to our every inquiry (with the exception of the maintenance issues mentioned previously”.

The only real problem we had was with the spa. The spa advertises a variety of services and had to be booked with the gift shop. My wife wanted to try an “aloe wrap” at $85 apiece. The spa service was supposed to include a 20 minute massage. So,  we attempted to book the appointments. The woman who runs the spa was difficult to reach and finally agreed to meet us the next day at 2PM. We showed up at 2PM as agreed but she said she was eating lunch and we could either wait or she would come to retrieve us. 45 minutes later she showed up. The “aloe wrap” consisted of her slathering an oily substance on us which took less than 5 minutes. She then wrapped us in a sheet of plastic that resembled a green trash bag. Finally, we were wrapped in a vinyl shower curtain and left in a room for an hour. There was no massage. The entire service took the woman less than 10 minutes and was a complete and total rip off. I would warn any of your clients that are considering the “N” resort to avoid the spa completely. Not only were we fleeced for almost $200, the entire experience was boring, annoying and irritating to the max.

Except for the spa, I would rate our over all experience at “N” as very good, We would definitely consider returning.
