Jeff & Becc - May, 2011

Travel Dates May 12-19, 2011

My partner, Jeff and I just returned from N Resort in Jamaica and wanted to share with everyone what a really wonderful resort this is.   It is an older resort, needs a little updating, but the people, beach, snorkeling, food and pool are incredible.  It is clothing optional but people were nude almost all of the time.  We even had a few that enjoyed meal time au naturale.  The resort has only been clothing optional since December and because not so many people have heard of it, the staff and management go out of their way to make things great.  Someone suggested dinner by the pool so they moved tables and buffet out to the pool.  The next night we had dinner on the beach.  Most days there were 18 to 20 people and about 30 people on the weekend.  They even have a large red water slide they kept from when they were a family resort.   Fastest slide I've ever been on.

The food is really good with a different theme every night.  Because there is a small amount of people, everyone generally ate at the same time.  Then there was usually a littie floor show and sometimes dancing.

The management and staff are great.   Freddy, the General Manager, will go out of his way to do almost anything to make a guest happy.  He has an eye for detail and it showed at every meal (he is there every day, all day).  Unfortunately, the bar ran out of Jeff’s favorite alcoholic beverage on  2 occasions (I don’t know if that says more about the bar or Jeff).   All of the staff were helpful but here are a few that really stood out:

Michael Moody:  hardest working person on the resort.   He kept the beach raked every day, then helped out on the snorkel boat.  He was everywhere all the time.

David the night bartender – he has a dry humor and wit and kept the party going long into the night.  He is a special guy.

Christine:  Biggest and warmest smile.  She made hanging out at the swim up bar fun.  She makes a mean mud slide.

Kadesha:  She is there when the bar opens and walks back and forth all day taking drinks to people around the pool and on the beach.  Always a smile and wears the prettiest headbands.

The other guests you meet at this resort also are what makes it special.   As there was a small group, we ate almost every meal together and really got to know one another.   The guys really enjoyed the afternoon volleyball games.

But the very best part, and my favorite, is the beach and snorkeling right in front of the resort.   The sand is so soft and white.  And the snorkeling was phenomenal.  I got up at 6:00am every morning, and walked from our room onto the beach and snorkeled until I couldn't hold my head up anymore.  Then rested and went back for more.   There are so many types of fish in water that is only chest deep (I'm 5 ft. so that's not deep).  I even got to swim with an eagle ray.  Well rather I got to watch an eagle come right toward me when one of our snorkeling buddies decided to toss little rocks onto his back until he woke up from his sleep in the sand.   I didn't know until that moment that I could actually walk on water.

All this and we got to do it naked!

We hope that others will visit to keep this resort going.  But not too many.  We are selfish and don’t want to share.
