Robert & Deborah - February, 2007

My wife and I have just returned from Desires Los Cabos Feb.10 to 18 and I wish to give you our two cents worth so that others may make an informed decision.  First using the Trans Cabos shuttle service was easy and the attendants were professional. However it is a pain going thru the airport with all the Time Share sellers telling you they are with Trans Cabos and trying to sell you something.  The Trans Cabos people wear orange shirts and blue slacks, suggestion; walk all the way out of the airport until you are outside stopping for noone, until you see the aforementioned attired personnel.  Arrival at the hotel we were met by uniformed door and desk personnel, we were made to feel extremely welcome and immediately put at ease.  All hotel personnel are uniformed, clean and eager to make your stay as wonderful as possible.  Let me say right from the outset, if you need drugs to make your vacation complete, go to Jamaica.  I saw no drug activity at all and there were signs everywhere offsite indicating zero tolerance.  The beach is very large and I'm told there are laws against public nudity on the beach and that the ocean has very strong currents negating swimming therefore, we never ventured onto the beach.  The rooms were very nice the only negative there is that even with all the lights on, it is still so dark it's almost impossible to read anything, much less a book.  The hot tub is very large and can accommodate all wishing to use it, but temperature fluctuations made comfort levels inconsistant.  The maintenance personnel were constantly attempting to address the problem, apparently the are no functioning thermostats to be had here as it seemed that it would be an easy fix.  The dance floor is elevated about 3 inches from the surrounding floor and it is easy to twist an ankle.  There are also a lot of staircases that have no handrails.  The swimming pool was wonderful and is surrounded by chaise lounges and beds, we had no trouble securing them for our use although not always at the location we wanted.  The food at every restaurant was very good.  Service everywhere was excellent, these people are trying very hard!  We were at Desires during a lifestyles week and saw PDA's all the time on the beds at the hot tub.  We are not swingers and never felt any pressure to participate nor were we approached in an inappropriate manner.  Service was top notch, great meals, drinks delivered poolside, towels oh the towels, never wanted for as many towels as we wanted.  Room service available and stocked mini bars in the rooms.  I have been to Hedo 2 & 3 several times and it seems they just don't care about service.  Desires may well be the catalyst necessary to get the Hedos to try.  My wife and I arrived at the same conclusion, HEDO-NO MORE!  Robert & Deborah
