A Review of "Walk Good - Travels to Negril, Jamaica" by Roland Reimer

I feel like I just returned from a trip to Negril. No ... I didn't make a quick unscheduled trip back "home".  However, I did just finish reading a book titled "Walk Good - Travels to Negril" by Roland (Rolly) Reimer.

Rolly's writing style captures the reader's attention and imagination as you read about his travels. Although the book focuses on Negril, it covers a lot of Jamaican history and geography. Even avid Jamaica-philes will find something new in the book that they didn't know. He includes information from visits to Hedonism II, Hedonism III and various Negril properties. He includes some interesting personal anecdotes about encounters with many colorful local characters.

This book will be very appealing to those who haven't yet made a trip to Jamaica or haven't spent much time in Negril. It will also be interesting to those who have been to Jamaica, but haven't ventured out too much from their favorite resorts. And those who have intimate knowledge of Jamaica and the Negril area, will relive some of their own experiences while reading this book.

This book should be required reading for anyone who visits or is contemplating a visit to Jamaica. Perhaps the airlines should include it in their seatbacks.
