Todd & Bethany - January, 2010
1st trip to Hedo 2 January 23-29
Detroit direct flight to MBJ. Landed on
time around 1:20pm customs was a breeze, then headed to the
Superclubs Lounge. There were quite a few people there. We were
traveling with a big group so that didn’t surprise us, we waited
about 25 minutes then off we went. The bus ride was almost 2 hours.
We stopped for a redstripe and bathroom break. Finally we arrived.
It was pouring rain. Not a good way to start your vacation. But none
the less we made the most of the tropical rain.
Since we had booked with Kamasutra our
rooms were ready and room keys just needed to be handed out. That
took all of 10 minutes. Then off to our room. We booked Prude
Gardenview- 1157 was our home for the week. The pros about our room-
Price. The cons- such a far walk. Next time we will probably book
Oceanview. Our room was always clean, with fresh towels yet we never
met our even saw our room attendant.
Since it was our 1st time
here, we had done lots of research about Hedo before even stepping
foot in Jamaica and was well prepared for our week. This we
recommend bringing: Ocean floatie, pool favors, funny straws,
insulated mugs, glow sticks, door decorations and anything that can
fit in your suitcase that you can share with your new friends.
Our room was clean, always had clean
towels, bed sheets always changed, AC always worked and for most the
week we had hot water. There was an issue for 2 days where the water
would run luke warm, but the problem was taken care of.
Lots of TV channels. We
highly enjoyed the porn channels. The remote stopped working at one
point- We called the desk and they gave us the code. Good to go the
rest of the week.
The resort was well kept, clean, and we
always saw people working to make it better. We spent most of our
time at the nude beach. Delroys was always busy and the service was
fabulous. Cudoos to Paulette, Grace and Delroy. Agustus was in full
force the whole week, always joking and giving your vacation a
little kick. We enjoyed having a chat here and there with him. The
beach looked fabulous. The water was warm and welcoming. Thou we
recommend water shoes. 1st day in the ocean ended up
stepping on bee- getting stung, and then stepping on a sea urchin
:-O. Not a good way to start out the week. We had brought a double
person floatie and went to the dive shop to have it blown up. Then
its home was the nude beach the whole week. There was an issue with
sand fleas so please bring Benadryl.
The entertainment staff was great.
Winston was the highlight of our week. We also got to experience
Sarge in full force on Toga Night since he was back for the week. In
general the entertainment always tried to get people involved and
definitely helped make our vacation a memorable one. We did get a
massage, we highly recommend Roslyn she was very professional and
the massage was one of the best we had ever had. We enjoyed the
theme nights. Hedokamasutra had their own theme nights and many
matched up with the Resort. We dressed up as much as possible. On
Tuesday night- PJ night we ended up winning a bottle of Rum. We
never made it to the Piano Bar… So no comment on that.
The disco was hit or miss,
sometimes completely full of people other times completely dead.
The food was decent; we are not picky and
found something to eat every day. Breakfast always seemed to be
better than lunch or dinner. The omelet station was always busy and
we give it an 8 outta 10. On most days we had lunch at Nigel’s, the
jerk chicken was extremely yummy and the burgers were always good.
The Japanese Restaurant Munasan was fabulous, and the Italian
Restaurant Pastafari was good, we ended up eating here two nights
since we could not get another reservation at Munasan.
The hot tub was always busy if you know
what I mean ;-) and always seemed to have a great crowd. We
definitely saw PDA’s to all out sex, since it was Lifestyles month
we knew to expect more the norm. But nothing we could not handle. We
never saw the sex police, but if you had too much on at the nude
pool you were told to remove your clothing. The pools were clean and
welcoming. We did see some single men and also some single ladies,
but this week seemed to be mainly couples. We met some Hedo 2
veterans and some people like us 1st timers.
Everyone treated everyone the same. It was
great to get to know new people Hedo has a very welcoming crowd.
So if you go to Hedo you will enjoy
yourself. We will be back… Can’t wait.
