My first trip to Hedo was excellent.

We took the bus to Hedo with a little drink stop on the way.  Our driver drove really fast but I still felt safe.  It was busy when we got to the resort so they told us to take a seat. We sat there a good 20 mins before they helped us. My husband was irritated, but it didn't bother me because I could see they were busy.  We paid for a gardenview room on the prude side, at check-in they informed us that they gave us a free upgrade to the nude side.  I'm sure thats because the locals wanted the prude rooms.  That was fine with me because the room they gave us was beside the spa so it was right in the middle of everything.

Our first night there we ate at the buffet which was ok, not much to choose from though. I was told that usually there are more food choices. We then went to the night club (which was dead) so we went to the piano bar. In there we saw a striptease on top of the piano. It was very entertaining.  Then we went back to the nightclub until really late. We got pretty tipsy so we decided to get our first time on the nude side out of the way. We got in the hot tub and into a corner by ourselves. We weren't there too long b4 we saw an orgy. It was also entertaining.  It was something I had never witnessed before so I watched.

I can't remember exactly what we did every day, but basically we slept everyday until 12 or 1. Then we'd eat and go to the pool or beach. The prude side was really busy with dj's and volleyball games, etc. If we felt like being alone we'd go to one of the little pools by the nightclub. We wanted to go to the caves but couldn't get up early enough. We did go to Rick's and that was really nice. The sunset was breathtaking. We also had a 100 minute massage one day that was amazing. My husband played basketball with Elephant Man. It was pretty cool that celebraties were there.

We usually took a nap in the evening and woke up to get ready for dinner. We tried both restaurants. Both were really good. We always watched the evening entertainment which was usually pretty funny and often had people showing their boobs and butts. After the show we'd go to the piano bar for piano singing or karaoke. I actually enjoyed karaoke the most. Ferrario made it so much fun!!! After the piano bar we always tried the nightclub out which most nights was dead. But that allowed me to play on the pole with noone watching. After the first couple of nights we got tired of hearing the same songs over and over.  Then we'd wander around drunk until about 5am. We found a hot tub behind the spa we really liked b/c it was always empty.

At first I found the bartenders to all be really rude. I think it may have been b/c of the week we were there, but I'm not sure. I did hear that some of the staff is on edge during Emacipation Day and Independence Day week.  Some of them bartenders turned out to be nice. But I noticed that the people like us that were really nice and patient had to wait the longest and weren't treated the best. Many times I felt like I was bothering the bartenders when they gave me a drink.  The rude and mean customers were treated great and apologized to repeatedly. The food was ok. The earlier you get to the buffet, the better it was.  The entertainment staff is great, especially Ferrario and Winston. The girls never talked to us, they were busy with the locals. I'm sure they are great too though. The wait staff were also very friendly.

The first night we were there the couple we traveled with met a watersports guy named Kelly.  He worked the night shift and was near the waterslide alot.  We ended up talking to him half of the night every night.  He's a great guy and he's extremely funny.  I can't wait to see him again.  We hated to have to say goodbye to him.

We stuck to ourselves alot because we didn't know what to expect and liked having our alone time.  When my husband was drunk one night and decided to break out of his shell and start a conversation with a couple outside of the nightclub, the man told us, "we don't participate".  We busted out laughing and told him that we don't participate either and we were just being nice.  It was pretty funny.  We did meet Charlie and Glenda who we enjoyed talking to very much.

Before we left we had a rock painted and left it in a place that was special to us.  I almost didn't want to leave it because it was so pretty.  We hope to get back to Hedo soon because it is a great place.  I liked the feeling of being somewhere with no rules.  There was nothing we did that we could get in trouble for.  My lastnight there I climbed back up the waterslide at 4am drunk.  I was waiting to be told not to climb up because its dangerous.  But noone stopped me.  We did whatever we wanted where we wanted.  We felt so free.   We were very sad when we left, but when I got home I was craving my favorite foods. We plan on going back asap.
