Hedo II First Timers Trip, March 14-21, 2009

We had an absolute blast and can’t wait to go again.  Yes, we have a severe case of DIF!

Getting There:

US Airways flight left Boston early and arrived in MoBay 15 minutes early (Don’t hear of that very often).  Waited in line for Jamaican Immigration about 45 minutes.  Once we reached the Immigration desk it was very quick and we were waved right through Customs and headed to the SuperClubs waiting area.  We only had to wait about 10 minutes before we were on the bus and on our way to Hedonism II.

Check in was painless, fast and friendly.

Our Room:

Although we had booked a Nude Garden View room we were surprised and please to find that we were given a Nude Ocean View room.  We really liked the location of the room and will try to get it again on our next trip.

Our air conditioner, while a little loud, worked perfectly and hot water was never an issue.  One minor issue with our room was that one of the four body sprayers in the shower did not function, not a problem.  Geraldine did a fabulous job making up our room each day.  One afternoon we returned to our room to find a fruit plate and a chilled bottle of champagne had been left for us.

Infrastructure:

We were quite pleased with the resort overall.  After reading many trip reports and comments about how run down, dated or tired the resort was, we found that it was in very good shape with some minor blemishes that did not detract from the trip at all.  We saw a great deal of maintenance work and upkeep being performed.

Food:

We found the food to be quite variable from excellent to fair.  At lunch one day we found nothing that interested us at the buffet so we went to the nude beach grill and had burgers and fries.  Jerk chicken, yum!

Staff:

Everyone we interacted with was courteous, friendly and efficient.  The entertainment staff was excellent and a lot of fun.  Although I hate to start naming people because I’m sure to miss some that deserves to be mentioned, here are some folks that helped make our trip so much fun: Sunshine, Brady, Winston, Augustus, Nigel, Delroy and Gigi. Sorry to those I missed.

Activities:

We participated in many of the activities that the staff organized.  To explain for those of you that have not been yet, the entertainment staff hands out plastic coins when you join in the activities.  When you have 15 coins you can trade them in for a bottle of rum.  We came home with 3 bottles of rum in our luggage.  The nude catamaran cruise was a good time.  Although we didn’t snorkel or go off the slide, we did swim to the caves.

Sex On The Nude Side:

Saw it, did it.  Didn’t matter what time of day it was, security didn’t interfere.  One afternoon I saw security walk right past a couple going at it on the beach.  Saw a number of shows each day on the beach, by the pool and/or at the hot tub.

The People:

We made many wonderful new friends that we hope to see again.  Everyone was friendly and open.  The people accepted each other for who they were and were not judgmental. There were a few Wallies around but didn’t encounter any Vinnies.

Drugs:

Not our thing but drugs can be obtained if you want them.  I can't say about other drugs but pot was openly smoked with no interference from security.  It was so rare to see one woman without her roach clip and joint that we nicknamed her Ganja Girl between ourselves.  We even saw some guys bring a hookah to the dining room.  They were apparently told that they couldn't use it while the dining room was full but they lit it up after many of the other guests had left.

I’m sure I have missed some useful information but that is all I can come up with right now.  If you have any questions just send us an email.
