Lyle - December, 2009

I just returned from Hedo II during 13 - 23 Dec 09 and everything seemed status quo with the resort.  Water temp and pressure in my room was good and air conditioning was functioning just fine.  Occupancy was fairly low (somewhere between 20% and 30% I'd guess), so the resort wasn't as active as it is at some other times, and they had the restaurants closed some evenings.

There was a report of an explosion and fire during repair of a gas line to Pastafari, and one person was reported to have been sent to the hospital.  Pastafari subsequently started serving dinner on the deck by the main pool to accommodate folks that wanted an alternative to the buffet or the Japanese restaurant.

Weather and water conditions were good up until yesterday.  It started raining Monday night and it rained all day Tuesday.  No official word as of my departure this morning on whether there will be a sunshine guarantee voucher issued for tomorrow, but I suspect that will probably happen.

Some sad news, in that Augustus had a death in his family on the 14th when his mother died.  Gus was out of work for a few days, and doing his best to cope with things and carry on with his duties in his usual way thereafter.

I enjoyed the trip and company of lots of friends and new acquaintances, and I'm glad I was there.  No other specific details to share at this time.
