Max & Brandyn - February, 2008

February 10th-24th

So... where to begin??? I must say, a lot of this trip is rather fuzzy, being
that it was our first time on a trip together, combined with the first time
Max has really been anywhere outside of Canada... on top of the fact that this
was going to be our wedding/honeymoon!!! So... it might be a little fuzzy
because we started the flow of drinks in the Vancouver airport. LOL. By the
time we hit Toronto, we were hung over & tired as hell... and grumpy when we
realized we had a four + hour layover... oh well. We'd get there eventually.

That's all I'll say for the travel portion.. everybody know the morning glory
story when it comes to airports and customs and blah blah blah.. I'll save
you the trouble of using your scroll bar. LOL

I'll start with our bus trip.... our driver was "No problem" Mike.. he was
excited, animated and full of life. He did an amazing job in getting everyone
on our bus hyped.. I was daring & sat shotgun for the ride, and he was sure
to keep me entertained in both his stories and driving. Despite one woman's
obvious & very vocal disapproval, we made a brief Red Stripe stop... It was
probably before this stop that Max & I looked at each other with wide eyes and
said, "Shit, we should have made this trip three weeks rather than two..."
One of the first things we both noticed while driving along the coast, through
the quaint sea-side towns and in through the countryside, was how absolutely
BEAUTIFUL the Jamaican people were... you could grab any one of the many
people we saw strolling along the roadside.. put 'em in some fancy jeans &
smack 'em in the middle of a magazine... Gorgeous.

Once we arrived at the resort, everyone on the bus was giddy with
excitement... Holy shit, we were finally here!!! We'd waited over six months
for this day.. and it was finally here!!!! When we rolled up to the
entrance, there were a handful of people sitting on the ledge, waiting for
their departure bus... they all had long, sad faces... I felt bad for them
for about a half second, but it wasn't long before the shit eating grin re-
appeared with a vengeance.....

We waited a few brief moments for our room information.. when our good friend
Marty showed up with some cold drinks. Hugs were given, we received our room
key & information and off we went to find our new home. When we booked our
trip, we'd requested garden view prude being that we had a long way to travel,
we were trying to cut costs are every opportunity.. I mean, how much time are
we going to be spending in our room anyhow?!?! We were pleased to find they
placed us in the ever famous H-Block... we didn't know it while we were
looking.. and man we must have been a sight.. wondering around, full clothed,
confused, lost... trying to find our way with Marty leading....all of a sudden
I'm seeing nekkid people everywhere.. I was like, "Huh?" I didn't know if it
was THEM or US who were confused... then it all came together... YAY! WE WERE
ON THE NEKKID SIDE!!!!!!! LOL We found our room: 2237. 2nd floor, H-Block;
We were finally Home.

Now... here's where things get a wee bit foggy... hehe.. Keep in mind,
between utter excitement and the long travel time, we'd not slept much in the
last 48 hours. We originally thought we'd be passing out for the rest of the
afternoon... whoa were we wrong... We hit our sixth or seventh wind & found
ourselves at the bar in the dinning hall.... Enter fog.

Being that we'd never been to a clothing optional resort before... and to be
honest, didn't think of ourselves to be the nudist type... we were a little
too shy to try out the nude side during the day on our first day... but once
that sun set, the drinks had been flowing.. we finally said, "Fuck it!!!!
Balls to the wind baby!!!!" (Seriously, no pun intended.) We found ourselves
@ the hot tub. I took it upon myself to announce to everyone, "WE GOT SOME
FIRST TIMERS OVER HERE!!!!" Which was soon followed by many cheers of
congrats, hoots & hollers.... we immediately met some folks who's names we
recognized from DennyP's site and felt super comfortable.... Wow.. this was
going to be a great trip, wasn't it?!?!?

The days which followed are again, quite hazy.. we met some incredible
people, were witness to some things I *never* thought I'd see in my life, and
were even surprised/flattered to receive a room call/invitation to a "party".
I suppose I'm naive in this department.. I didn't realize what KIND of party.
Hahaha... "OH!... THAT kind of party..."

By the time the 13th rolled around, we had already had a day to crash &
sleep... we were saying goodbye to some friends we'd JUST met, but wished
could stay the length of our trip.. and we were getting excited for the
14th... because *drum roll please.....* This was the day we were to be
married. When we finally layed our heads to rest... I felt a tickle in my
throat... oh well, probably just from screaming so loudly during the slick ass
sliders waterslide races..... Oh boy, was I wrong.
The next morning, I should have woken up rested, peaceful and ready to get
effen married!!!!! Instead, I woke up with absolutely NO voice.....and
fluorescent snot.... hahahaha.
So... into the dinning hall for some breakfast... our lovely waitress asked me
if I'd like juice/coffee... I opened my mouth to answer, but no sound came
out... she looked at me puzzled... and then realized.. "Oh bebe..." she said
as she took me by the arm & led me to the nurses station. The nurse
confirmed that I was obviously sick.. she said I had a pretty massive
chest/throat/sinus & ear infection... she suggested I wait for the doctor.. he
was to arrive onsite within a couple of hours.. The doctor finally
arrived.. I shelled out $250 & received a needle in my arse, two different
kinds of pills and a cough syrup that I'm sure is illegal in Canada.. LOL. I
went back to the room & passed out for a couple hours. When I woke up to get
ready, (Thanks Vicky, for having "Girl Time" & helping me with my dress &
makeup.. ) amazingly enough, I had a bit of a voice!... it was a whiskey
bitch voice.. but a voice nonetheless & enough of one to at least say my
vows. LOL

The wedding was to happen on the prude beach... we wanted it that way so we
could have some pictures taken. Quite a few of the lovely people we'd met
during the first part of our stay came to watch, and our friends from
Brooklyn, Lewis & Alice, came strolling down the beach just a few moments
before the ceremony. They stood at our sides for support, and as friends.
Thanks guys!
It was a teary moment for us both.. I wasn't up there for a single breath
before the eyeballs welled up.. I learned later I wasn't the only one crying
like a baby.. (Haha Lew!!) As we stepped up to the wonderful minister &
the arches, decorated with fresh flowers, the clouds parted and the sun beamed
it's rays down on us.. the enchanting sound of soft waves rolled in the
background.. it was a perfect setting. It was that exact moment, when I
looked into the eyes of my soon to be husband, that it all made sense. We'd
made the absolutely right decision for the new start to the rest of our lives
together. Married, bare feet in the sand, in paradise.

The rest of our trip flashed in a blur. It still amazes me how dreadfully
long it took to arrive, the days seemed so short once we were finally there!
We had so many adventures... I suppose I'll give some highlights, keep in
mind, these are absolutely NOT in chronological order...

*Slick Ass Slider Nekkid Waterslide Races - Cap'n Bob.. you have organized an
amazingly fun event. Once again, the Canucks have taken the title!!! hehe
*Privately Chartered Cat cruise.... Dave, you are by far one of the funniest
guys we've met ever....
*Nekkid photo shoot beside the disco and in the disco... Tab & Steph - you
ladies rawk.
* Putting some sweet, sweet lip marks on Panda's ass... hahaha Lisa.. you
chicken lover. Much love to you bebe.
*Eating @ Munasan & Pastafari... Yum to BOTH.
*Kayaking with my man in the morning... the one day we actually made it out.
haha *Our VIP Section in the disco - Patrick & Lissa, you're both too funny.
*The many beautiful sunsets we watched from the pier..
*The day Harris worked his magic, cracked my back & cleared my sinuses with
his touch... that was insane!
*Watching that crazy white squall slowly climb up the beach...and hit chair
after chair after chair while everyone ran for cover, and we both just layed
there in the downpour... and then seeing Lisa pointing & laughing as we tried
to say it was nice & refreshing.. we finally warmed up in the hottub.. before
giving up & heading back to our room...

It's funny... now that I try to remember everything, I'm drawing a complete
blank... even the slow & lazy days were highlights for us... the slow walk
from our room up to the dinning hall, and back down.. or over to the pool...
The countless laughs & new memories of the friends we shared moments with in
the pool, on the beach, in the dinning hall or wherever we were... I swear my
gut still aches from all the giggles..

The staff at Hedo absolutely helped make this trip AMAZING for us... I'll
name a few:

Dermaine - this kind & generous soul always greeted us with big smiles, and
hugs...
Dimples (Shernette) ..this girl is so sweet, easy to talk to, and great to
just shoot the shit with...
Matta - You always make me smile mon!
Lorna - Our wedding planner... thanks for everything... big hugz to you!
Omar - My fantastic Omar... you & your champagne. Much love mon.
Felicia - Our favorite Chef @ the Japanese restaurant. She was a joy to watch
with all her energy & smiles...big hugs bebe.
Spice - You always showed your love... sometimes more to Max.. haha Andre -
Loves Styles!
Marsha - our housekeeper, you always left such beautiful towel creations. :)
Monga - Or MANGO LADY as we started calling her because of her loud, LOUD
vocals.. haha, girl, you're crazy!
Delroy & Scumba - Amazing bartenders... always smiling.. always having a good
time...
I know I'm forgetting many names... All of the wonderful staff.. at both of
the grill's, the dinning hall staff.. the disco staff... the beach staff..
water sports, even the security guards! These folks were sooo friendly and
always offered smiles... They all definitely made this trip amazing for us...

The days came & went so quickly.. the weather was beautiful even though it was
rainy in the afternoons of the 2nd week.. Keep in mind, it was 47 below
(Celcius) in Whitehorse the day that we left... so, rain? Yes.. I'll take
tropical rain over frozen hell ANY DAY..... And honestly, it was mostly our
own fault that we didn't make the sun as much as we'd liked to in that last
week.. by the time we rolled out of bed, hit up the dining hall or grill for
some grub & got cleaned up to go hang out at the pool, it would usually be
nice for about 45 minutes... then in rolled the clouds... hehe. We'll know
better for next time. ;)

When it was our turn to leave, it was a sad day... We said our good byes, and
tried our best to get addresses and pictures of our new friends.. Our bus
ride started with an early moon.. haha. Moon hill --thanks guys, we got
alllllll of your bums on video... Even your black & blue one Tab.. haha The
ride back was rather uncomfortable.. it was hot.. the air conditioner in our
bus didn't work well, and the bus was a full ride.. I tried ever so hard to
stay awake and take in the scenery on the way, but my heavy eyelids won the
battle, and I woke up just as we were re-entering the city of Montego Bay....
We saw a couple of friends waiting in lines at the airport... and eventually,
we made it to our plane... It was a sad, sad day. :(

I won't bore you with the details of our departure.. but I will tell you this:
We completely and totally fell in love with Hedo... We met new lifelong
friends... we met our Hedo family... we can't wait to return.. and are
already saving our pennies for next February.... And I know I've mentioned
it before... but many, many times.. Max & I looked at each other to say,
"We're so screwed... we're never going to see another part of the world are
we?"
Yep as Panda/Lisa said.. we've been bitten by the Hedo Bug. *G*

Thanks again for everthing everyone!!! See you on the beach next year!!!!

Much Love always,
Max & Brandyn

PS: Thanks Marty!! ..For taping our ceremony, and J & T - thanks sooo much for
the pictures!!
