Erik & Karon - May, 2008

Well... off we went to Orlando Airport at the very wee
hours
of the morning on a Saturday. American Airlines. 8 day
vacation.
What was suppose to take 4 hours... turned into an
all day event.
Finally arrived in Jamaica at 6pm.
(American Airlines lost my luggage! It turned up on a
Wednesday morning)
It's a shame that the waiting area(at the airport) for
Hedo guests
is so open and
decorated so very plain.
(I'm thinking colorful flowing curtains... and at least
beer and wine to drink)
All they had to offer us to drink... was water.
I wanted to buy my favorite booze to take with me... but
I couldn't seem
to manage to get anyone to explain... how to get to the
great liquor store
they have at the airport in Jamaica.
OH Well... so finally at 6:30pm we were all on the van
and off we went... HEDO II.
It was the last week in May, 2008.
We arrived and I couldn't get over how quiet it was.
The staff was friendly and wonderful as always.
Seems the resort isn't busy that last week in July... so
we
(pretty much)
had the whole place to ourselves... and waited for...
NOTHING.
The water slide was open whenever we wanted... and
hardly anyone was
in the water at the beach. The prude side... was empty.
Small groups of people lounged about.
The Friday night seafood buffet was awesome! I lacked
for nothing... when it came to the food... I had all the
fish I wanted!
I also ordered Lobster from the "guy in the blue
boat"... awesome!
The entertainment was great... but the parties... were a
bust... because of
the little number of vacationers at the resort.
Next time we will come earlier in July.
For the 2 couples with us... as newbies... they loved
it.
All in all... so very relaxing.
We had such a great time meeting new people
and
the drinks are always the best on the nude side!
YOU must go to the spa and have a message... they are
the grrreat!
We never left the resort except for one night we did go
to Rick's.
It was OK... very crowded and HOT!
If you go... take your swim suit and take a dip in the
ocean or pool.
I think our next trip to Hedo will be in 2011.
And we'll pick a busier and more wild time to go.
:)
Hedo hugs to all,
and... Unfortunately the trip home was as long as the
trip in.
It toooooooooooook alllllllllllllllllll day! MANY
delays. |
