David & Staci - January, 2007

Jan 27-Feb03

We arrived on Saturday on Air Jamaica (surprisingly good flight from what I had read). Went to the Super Clubs Desk and were greeted promptly. We were told we could not go have a smoke or get a drink as the bus would be there within 15 minutes.

Bus Ride

We must have gotten the only cautious bus driver in Jamaica. So the bus ride was ok, but took almost 2 hours.

Hedo

We arrived and even though it was our first trip we were welcomed “HOME”. The front desk staff was great and had us on our way to our rooms within ten (10) minutes. A $200.00 charge for “incidentals” was charged on our credit card. Upon checkout the charges were removed.

Room 2236 nude garden view

The room was what we expected and there were no disappointments there. We had hot water everyday. The water was so hot on some days you almost could not shower in it.

Saturday

We immediately went to the main restaurant and had dinner as we were hungry from our trip. We were also pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food (the whole week).  We finally got to meet up with some friends that we met online (Bob and Sheila). We all sat down and the party started. I think we finally gave out at around 3:30 or 4:00 am.

Sunday

Got up around 9:00am for breakfast and off to the nude beach it was. Had a great day sitting in the sun, talking with our new friends. I had the opportunity to meet Augustus for the first time. In less than a minute to figure out that he was a funny and very nice man. Made our way to the nude pool for some drinks and socializing. Witnessed a couple of PDA’s at the nude pool no problems there!

Went to dinner and again had a great meal with some great new friends.

Monday

Again after a late night of drinking tea and water (HAHA) we made our way to breakfast. Made our way straight to the nude pool and there we stayed most of the day. The EC’S were around the pool playing games and giving away Rum.

Tuesday

Went out on a catamaran with our friends Eric and Kelly, what a beautiful view of Jamaica and H2. Passed a couple of boats from other resorts and could hear the people on the boat being told, “There are the nude people”. The boats were just outside the roped off swimming area.

Went to Munasan for dinner, everything was excellent.

It was PJ night and our friends Eric and Kelly took first place! My girl Staci came in fifth. Had a blast!

Wednesday

Slept in late and made lunch. Took a walk and took some pictures of Sandal’s and the ocean. Hung out at the nude pool for a while and just generally had a lazy day.

Pastafari was our dinner choice for the evening. Was the best meal we had all week. The service was excellent!

It was Mardi Gras night and a few people dressed up.

Went to the nude pool and Jacuzzi.

Thursday

Again slept in and had kind of a lazy day (loved having nothing to do). Went to lunch and learned how to tie a Toga.

Toga night was fun most everyone dressed up and some of the costumes were unbelievable.

Went to the nude side pool and Jacuzzi. And if you did not know Delroy’s opens back up at 11:00 pm.

Friday

The whole resort changed today. The staff seemed to be in overdrive. Then we figured out why. The staff transformed the prude side beach into the main dinning room. It was amazing. Hot food, salad bars, liquor bars, and carving stations all set up on the beach. Then the circus show started. Since it was to be our last night we hung out with Bob and Sheila and Eric and Kelly.

We all decided to take a midnight nude slide down the water slide (about 20 times a piece). We all had a great time.

For those of you who did not know H2 no longer leaves the eviction notice under your door. They call the room and leave a message for you to call the front desk. Even some of the staff were surprised to hear that.

Saturday

7:00 am wake up call (that hurt). We realized that we had way too much to drink the night before, and here we are getting ready to travel all day.

The bus left at 9:00 sharp. Nice ride back to the airport. Only to find out that our flight was delayed for an hour.

Summation

The food was great and a good variety everyday, at all restaurants.  Alcohol was plentiful and if they ran out the staff would go and get more for you (thanks Bob).

All in all this was the best vacation we have had. The H2 staff made us feel welcome and like we were at “HOME”. We now know why people say they are going home. We met a lot of very nice people and made some lifetime friends. We are planning on going back again next January. Being that this was our first trip to H2 I think there is no place in the Caribbean we would rather go.

There were very few negatives. The three (3) that stand out were:

1)      A rude and nasty porter at the airport.

2)      A barmaid that on three (3) different days was very nasty and acted like she did not want to be there. You almost had to beg for a drink and then she made us feel like we were the nasty ones.

3)      Leaving H2.

Our personal observations:

1)      If you say “Thank You” you will witness the staff smile and make sure to take care of you. We are that way anywhere we go and the best reaction came from the staff at H2. They truly seemed to appreciate it, as we appreciated their hard work.

2)      The Staff works everywhere, all day long and most into the late night. We were amazed to see someone tending bar early in the day, then later see them working again somewhere else.

3)      The entertainment staff is out of this world! They try very hard to make you have a great time!

We were concerned at first bout going during Lifestyle Month. About Tuesday most of the Lifestyle people were gone, and the whole feel changed. People did not say Hello as much and were not as likely to just walk up and strike up a conversation.

I will stop now and apologize for the length of this report. But we had such a good time we can’t help ourselves.
