Tom, Karen, Chuck & Joell - November, 2005

Tom & Karen, Joell & Chuck   11/5/05 11/12/05

Editors Warning: This trip report is LONG, to serve no other purpose than to preserve the memories of a GREAT week at Hedonism II!

What a week.

This was our (Tom & Karen) 5th trip to Hedo II, our 4th trip in this early November time frame and we were able to talk our friends Chuck & Joell into joining us this year (heyif you dont like it, you can transfer to GL..).  Joell & Chuck were excited, but nervous.  So much so that Joell called Denny the week before our trip to confirm the SuperClubs guarantee that if youre not satisfied at your resort they will move you.  Denny, Joell should have called you by now to be added to the 95% who cant believe they even thought about changing resorts!

We flew AJ out of BWI (Baltimore), taking off within a few minutes of our scheduled departure.  At the gate, we met up with Keri & Joel who we had connected with on the visitor list and were traveling on the same flights with us.  They were newbies too, which helped make everyone a little more relaxed (Hi, Im Joel, nice to meet you).  A number of flights must have all landed around noon, because immigration was very crowded.  It was a little more organized then last year they now use the roped off lines to funnel everyone for the next available counter.  There are two lines, one on each side of the room.  Joel & Keri were a little ahead of us in the other line when we started, and they got thru much quicker than us (left line was the quicker).  It took us about 45 minutes to make it thru immigration, but by the time we got downstairs, our bags were already standing, off the carousel.  We quickly collected them & made it thru customs in a couple minutes.  SuperClubs lounge was next, and we must have just missed the bus because Joel & Keri were already gone.  Next bus in 7 minutesyou know how that goes!  We had a full bus, all going to Hedo.  1:15 later were pulling into Hedo (very loud no when the driver asked if we wanted to stop).  Tom & Joell began the check-in process while Karen & Chuck IDd the bags as they came off the bus.  Joell got her room first, 2205 and I (Tom) said uh-oh, your on the nude side.  (We had book superselect ROH).  Joell asked if that was bad!~  No, very good!  Karen & I were given keys for 2131.  I knew that meant nude side, but could barely hide my excitement when we found it was H-block, first room next to the OV rooms.

By the time we checked in, we had just missed the lunch buffet, so we met up with Chuck & Joell and headed to the prude grill for a bite.  Figured wed relax a bit before showing them around.  Next thing you know, Ray-Ray is marching 20+ by for a nude waterslide invasion.  And, wait whats that.yes Keri & Joel are right in there with them!  (Keri later admitted that they were pulled in as they were making their way to the nude side, but acknowledged it was a great way to jump right in!).  I think thats when we heard Chucks first: This place is Crazy

After lunch we walked around the resort a little to give the newbies a feel for the layout.  Ran into some of our BosomBuddies friends.  Having been at Hedo with some or all of them over our 5 trips, it is always great to meet up in person again.  Hedo is so much about the people and Karen & I have been extremely lucky to have been able to connect with them.  The Sunday night chats with them (and everyone from Vals Pals) really help put us in the vacation mode.  We are honored to have our new BosomBuddies door sign, which wed hang at home if it wouldnt be seen by our kids ;)   We eventually made it down to the nude side, and Chuck & Joell jumped right in.  We were having so much fun, we missed Roberts jerk chicken.

The week schedule pretty much consisted of getting up around 10, in time to get over for some breakfast (I miss that bacon and coffee), back to the room to rest/nap/get ready for the beach & pool which wed usually get to by 11:30 or so.  We usually made it up to the lunch buffet each day and sometimes took in the lunchtime spin.  Back to the pool for much of the afternoon then up to the hot tub about 4:30 before heading back to get ready for dinner.  During the week we ate at the buffet (average), Munesana (good) and Pastafari (excellent).  Plan for at least an hour and a half for the reservation restaurants.  Joell & Chuck enjoyed being on the prude beach during the day, and we found ourselves spending a good amount of time there with them.  Wed usually pull one or both of them over to the DARK SIDE for some afternoon time in the pool, cool tub, or hot tub. (Chuck: This Place is Crazy!)

Highlights

Naughty School Girl night on Monday was another great success with the PinPals leading the way supported (in more ways than one!) by the BosomBuddies and Vals Pals.  Hedo should really consider making it a weekly event with so many groups now doing it on their own!

DISCO we tried stopping at the disco Saturday night, but it was so loud we could barely step inside to show the place to Chuck & Joell.  That incident aside, the three other nights we were in there (T,W,F), the place was rocking great mix of music (club, oldies, etc) at a volume that your ears werent still ringing hours later.

PJ night, always a great night/party.  Seemed to do a good job enforcing the no PJ, no entrance; no cameras; no smoking on the dance floor rules. (Chuck: This place is Crazy

Pimp-n-Ho night we were eating in Pastafaris and I dont know which I laughed at harder, the PinPals marching thru, or the maitre d trying to stop them saying you canna come in herethis is a fine Italian restaurant. (Chuck: This place is Crazy

Hedo Service: Chuck & Joell had an A/C unit that was not keeping their room cool at all.  They called the front desk about 6:15pm on Sunday, and with 5 minutes had someone at their door to take a look at it.  He asked if they wanted to move rooms & with 10 minutes had them in another OVN room two doors down.

Body Shot Marathon I give all the credit to Val & Brent and anyone who helped them pull it off (I really didnt think theyd be able to do it), but it was VERY organized and was a hoot to watch (we did not participate although Joell was ready to jump in if called upon!)

Non-Theme Night Dinners (ie: slut wear!) Ok, I admit it, I (Tom) am a slut-wear shop-a-holic.  I was given the duty (ok, I offered) to buy outfits for Karen & Joell.  I got a little carried away!  You can never have enough outfits which came in handy to share with others!  Who was that HOT woman in the red dress? I was luck enough to sit across from her at Pastafaris!  (Tom: you look awesome.Chuck: this place is CRAZY).

Rasta Bill another superb effort on collecting & delivering school supplies for the kids.  Much Respect Bill!  One of these years well have to go with him when he delivers, the pictures he brings back are priceless.  Thanks to Joell, too who had extra space in her carry-on for 20 packs of crayons when I was 10 pounds overweight at check-in!

Friday Night Gala Buffet: was served on the prude beach.  The EC staff spent all day setting up putting out decorations, tables, chairs, etc & the place looked great.  The lobster was very good & they seemed to have a good supply, in spite of long lines (at all the serving stations).  The entertainment was just as good steel drums playing on the pool deck, band playing on the stage.

Roots Explosion: Dinner music volume was perfect for carrying on a conversation, with plenty of selections for slow dancing with your sweetie.

Lowlights (not that they were major, just the things that stuck out in our memory)

Nude Beach Bar I enjoy Hedos bartenders as much as anyone, but there is no excuse for having only 1 or 2 bartenders working the nude bar at 4pm any afternoon (which I witnessed two different days).  It got to be a joke see you in 10 minutes when you went for a drink in the afternoon.

Beach Towels cannot be found at some times during the day.  We got used to having two new towels each day left in the room last year, and that only happened once this year.  When a new load of towels was delivered to the white cabinet by the hot tub, the rush was onyoud a thought it was jerk chicken time!

Friday Night Gala Buffet: Were guessing all the stops were pulled out for Friday night due to the 100+ travel agents visiting the resort.  Not that it had that negative an impact, it doesnt look good when dinner service begins at 7, lines start forming & people start having trouble finding seats & the resort has reserved an entire area (10 tables or more) for this entire group arriving at 7:30.  The long lines at the serving stations got even longer.  If Mr. Bourke could have had them arrive at 6:30 and begin serving then (a half hour early) they would have blended right in & their special treatment would not have looked so obvious.  I overheard a number of were the paying guests, but they get

Floats/Cushions the ample supply that was there last November has dwindled (the Hedo foam cushions), could eventually find one but if I had brought the inflatable raft (that weve taken back home unused the last 4 trips) I probably would have inflated it this year.

Weather for the week was absolutely perfect a little drizzle when we arrived, and nothing but sun from then on.  Danny is getting better in the Piano Bar, but still needs help.  We could do without the who has a joke to tell between songs.  The place was rocking one of the karaoke nights much more so than the two nights we were in there for the piano.  We also snorkeled this trip (1st time in 5 trips sand gravity, you know) and it was great, the water was very clear & there was a lot of underwater life to be seen.

Thank you to everyone who made our trip so much fun.  The Bosom Buddies, whose beach & room decorations inspire me!  I never realized there were so much beach, flamingo, and pirate decorations on Oriental Trading!  Cant wait until we start those Sunday night chats for next year.  You guys are AWESOME.  We met a lot of new people this year (not all newbies) thru the BBs and Vals Pals.  Is it to early to pick dates for next November?  Keri & Joel, we will definitely be getting together before then!  Maybe an Ocean City Hedo party????  Count Chuck & Joell in!

We have so many Hedo Friends; it was great to get Chuck & Joell in on the fun.  Weve been friends for years and had no doubt theyd love the place.  If you have friends that dont run, hide, gasp or shake their head at your Hedo stories definitely invite them for the next trip!  Thanks, also, to Denny for his help with planning and booking our trip.

This place is Crazy.and we wouldnt want it any other way~!
