Why-oh-why didn't I find this sort of thing 20 years ago? At any rate booked the trip then found Denny's. Sort of wish it had been the other way around.

These were my expectations: Nice beach, decent pool, warm weather, possible short-term thunder storms, well maintained grounds, typical buffet food, good room, two or three bits of eye candy, maybe a sneak peek at a PDA or two, meet some people for conversation and meals. I also hoped to get invited to play, find someone to return with. This was to be a totally new experience for me. I've never been nude in public much less in a sexually charged atmosphere.

Had planned to arrive in time for the Wednesday afternoon gift exchange party so I could introduce myself. US Air had us sitting in the plane for over an hour in Philadelphia while they fixed a problem in the tail. With only 5 going to Hedo, the wait for transport was a bit long at the airport. Needless to say my timing plans went out the window. Check-in went smoothly and to my delight I found myself in an ocean-view room. My bag arrived within minutes and in less time then I'm writing this sentence the clothes were off and the towel on. I made my way to the nude pool, immediately dropped towel and made my way towards the bar. PDA in the grotto, naked people in and around the pool, eye candy galore, and I hadn't been there 5 minutes yet. Got a drink, meandered to the beach, found a chaise, gazed upon the waters and wow more PDA on the float. Checked out the pool and was immediately greeted by Cathi.

The beach is nice, not great but nice. There is a seaweed problem and big boulders underwater. It is okay for floating. It's never too deep. You just can't get a run and splash. Several rows on chaise above the bulkhead were never full. Trees along the border gave some shade and one big tree gave perfect shade all day long. Up a ways toward the massage shack there were more shaded spots for those who like to be out but take it easy on the sunburn.

The pools were maintained twice a day, which was good to see. The nude pool was pretty much packed all day. Could have used some additional space for lounges. It's a pretty compact area. The nude pool is definitely the gathering place.

The weather was perfect. Just the right temperature for this guy. Thunderstorms came through every afternoon. They made for a perfect opportunity to take a nap. Okay, Emily passed by, but they take hurricanes very seriously, buttoned up the place, and kept us well informed of the situation. Saturday was gray and rainy but by evening things were back to normal.

The facilities were pretty darn good. The room was clean and spacious. There was plenty of hot water for showers. The air conditioner worked well. The maid was more concerned about a tiny leak than I was. The grounds and beaches were nicely maintained. The dining area was nice. The food was plentiful with daily menu changes and plenty of variety each meal. There are lots of little pools and areas for semi-private get-togethers. The staff was friendly and professional.

Mission accomplished: eye candy bunches. More than bunches, I'd say everyone fit the category except for the two really drunk Vinnies. Greetings & conversation: a few, not as much as we'd like but then I'm not one to jump in. Those that I did meet were delightful. PDA & PDS: well, much more than expected. Willy was up and down like a Yo-Yo a couple of days. It's pretty hard on the single guys. Perhaps it was just the time I was there with WWW and the Fluffernutters in house. Willy was kept hidden at the times when stirred but he really wanted to come out and salute the action especially when it was only 3 feet away in stereo. Theme nights and slutware: Not as much as expected but those that put in an effort really did the job. I especially liked the nurses. I needed a nurse to cure my ills so badly. Oh well maybe next time. All over tan: you betchya. Careful attention to the need for shade meant minimal sunburn. Certainly I never felt out of place or embarrassed. It's wonderful to be able to leave your room with nothing but the key and a towel. Watch from afar but close up you talk to the face and forget that the other parts are uncovered.

Disappointments: Having to get dressed for meals. I didn't meet the women of my dreams. Seemed everyone was already coupled up. Didn't get close to touchy feelly or better. Never was invited to the hot tub. Beach not designed for midnight skinny dip. After dinner entertainment became an annoyance after about the third night. The EC staff tried but they were miked too loud, a bit too much silly, it just wasn't my thing, and it interfered with any conversation. It would have been far better to just let the band play and the people dance or not. Art auction yuck. Although it wasn't exactly a disappointment, the bathroom louvers let in all the sound from the walkways and rooms next door. Three AM wake-ups could be a problem from the late night party crowd although the stereo audio from the neighbors was a treat. Wish I had the video. The piano bar was way too cold. The contrast to the outside temp was just more than I could bear. I'm sure the non-smokers really appreciate the new atmosphere however. I found the disco to be the same until it was packed on Tuesday. My ears won't take the pounding for more than about 15 minutes so I just checked in a few times.

I liked the weather. I liked the facilities. I liked the staff. I liked the party atmosphere. I liked the people. I liked being nekkid. I liked the view. I was home less than 24 hours and checking fares to MBJ so I guess I'll be back.
