This was our second trip to Hedo 2, so we felt much more comfortable and less nervous than on our first trip. We flew out from Philly very early Saturday morning, and we at the resort and in the water by 12:00!!
We booked ROH and we were upgraded to GVN. Very nice room, loved how close it was to everything!! Loved the new showers, plenty of hot water, but flooded the room when we used the side jets because it leaked all down the side of the shower. Be careful! Didnt care too much about the TV, although it was nice to fall asleep to. New bathrooms were nice at the hot tub. Although, there were some people who would sit on the stools at the bar and drink all day and they never got up to use the bathrooms! Believe me, we were watching you!!! Thats gross!! (Yes, it was you old man with the prostitute!)
Food: SOOOO much better this time! Ate at Pastafari three times and the Japanese restaurant once. The buffet was really great but the fruit flies were terrible! My lobster was huge on Friday night!
Friends: Met some great people this time!! Deana and Mark, Julie, the royalty from Britain, Keith and Dorothy, Tommie and Paul, Glenda and Bill, but especially Trish and Ray (Roy). You guys made the trip so much fun!! But my favorite time of ALL, was meeting up with our very dear friends, Chris and Julie! Thanks for coming with us! From the initial screaming when we saw you, to the laughs in the hot tub, to show us your teets, to the tears at the end, you guys are the most special people in the world. I never want to go to Hedo again if you cant go!!
PDAs: There were A LOT more this time! Lots of body shots during the day (no wonder the water was so cloudy!) Lots of licking and sucking at the hot tub at night. Lots to watch and enjoy and participate in, if one chose to do so! I was annoyed at the amount of single guys that would sit and watch and be rude. Hint to all of you single guys: If a couple is in the cool bubble tub enjoying themselves at night, DONT come in and sit there watching. Its too close!! Then when we leave, dont follow us into the grotto! It is just plain rude!
Other observations
The staff seemed more standoffish this time. They didnt seem to be as happy this time. It was almost as if they were told to keep distance. Ray-Ray seemed sad. Winston wasnt around as much. Less games on the beach. Activities were advertised but didnt occur. Many of the regulars were missing; Delroy, Charlie (the omelets werent the same). Some of the bartenders were preoccupied, and Robert seemed angry all the time. Not sure if the holiday had anything to do with it but it was different this time.
The entertainment was incredible this time. The Steel Band was awesome, Winston and all the ECs are so talented. Koro and his Michael Jackson impression. Lenny and his muscles, yum!!! I love to watch them dance!!! I sang at the Piano Bar twice. I even sang with the sax player who stopped in! Danny is very talented but the place was dead.
Another great trip to reconnect with my wonderful spouse! I loved getting to know every part of you all over again after 18 years with you!! Thats what its all about!!
