September 25 - October 1st
This was our first trip to the infamous Hedonism II as well as our honeymoon. We went with no expectations other than to have a great time and enjoy the "dark" side as much as possible. We were not disappointed. Yes attendance was down, but considering the current state of world affairs this did not surprise us in the least. From Denny's website we were already informed that the food would not be 5 star, but I disagree as we enjoyed Pastafaris as well as the Japanese restaurant very much. Supplemented with Rober's jerked chicken and grilled lobster that we bought on the beach life was good. We didn't experience any of the problems that people reported with the Miss Black Nude Pageant in 2004 at all. The girls were all friendly and more than willing to take a quick second to snap a picture with you. We met a super nice couple associated with the pageant and they let us know that all of the problems resulted from another group that showed up unexpectedly and unwelcomed and
overran the resort that year. Anyway I digress. The weather couldn't have been better and all of the staff were very friendly and happy to help you out. We enjoyed a couples massage at the spa (YUMMY!) and my wife had her nails done for about what she would pay here in the states. The only real thing we didn't care for were all of the single guys hanging out in the hot tub in the evening when the couples were trying to get their groove on. We realize it is something we have to expect in this resort, but there was one group of single Vinnies that just took it to the next level of weird. We are already planning next year's trip and can't wait to go back.
