Dennis & Fran - February, 2005

Here's my trip report for Hedo II 2/9-2/16.

We came by Hedo by accident 2 years ago.. since then, this is our 5th trip. Our last trip was in June for our 25th wedding anniversary. The difference between June and Feb is amazing! This was our 3rd time in Feb. We were greeted with a drink while registering. The rooms were all redone in neutral tones. I loved the new showers and we had hot water the entire time. The Scotch Bonnet was moved down to the Prude Beach Grill. It's open during the day with table service. On Friday there's the Grand Buffet which I don't remember from past trips. I really didn't find much difference in the food, just there's a lot more of it on Friday. There's also a lot more people on Friday.. we had to sit in the back near the lobby. I didn't like that, half the fun for me at dinner is to see what everyone's wearing. They still have the auctions on Wed and Sat , which I find extremely boring. And the circus show on Friday is the same.. (yawn.)... I loved the house band and the entertainment. We danced until our feet hurt most evenings and met some really nice people. You have to watch your drink, each time we got up to dance, someone took our drinks...even if they were full!! I found that to be annoying, since when I'm dancing I need a drink when I get back to the table. Next time I'm bringing the "do not disturb" sign.. Hahaha. In the mornings we started with a quick workout in the gym then breakfast. We had a hard time finding chairs on the nude beach after 10am. There were many empty chairs, but they all had been reserved. So we ended up going to the east end of the Prude side in the morning and the Nude side later. It was easier to find a chair after lunch. There were a few "spill overs" from the Nude beach there and security didn't bother us for not having anything on. On the Nude side we noticed a lot of action on the floats and the swim platform. Security was pretty strict about clothed people on the nude side. I saw several people asked to remove their clothes or go to the other side. Hedo is always so entertaining. The Bubbly Bears trickled in over the weekend and were ready to party! The costumes always amuse me...on the beach and at dinner! I thought the EC's were very low key, especially during Showtime, which is a shame, since I think they're very talented. Valentines Day was fun, the male EC's gave all the ladies a single red rose and the entertainment was very romantic. With all the changes, good and bad, we had a great time and we're looking forward to our next trip..hope to see you there.. Fran
