Trip Report

Hedo II

Nov 3-13, 2005

This was our second trip to Hedo.  We went on a last-minute deal the first week of January 2005 and were so overwhelmed by our vacation that we knew we had to go back as soon as we could.  Of course, when something is so good the first time, you worry that it might not live up to your memories and expectations. Not to worry, as this trip was even better than our first.

Ill skip over the travel part since who really cares about that anyways?  Only part mentioning was that we spent our first night (Nov 2) at Tobys Resort in Montego Bay.  Nice quaint little hotel, probably a 2 star, but clean and inexpensive it fit the bill and I would stay there again.  SuperClubs was nice enough to pick us up there at 9:15 in the morning on the3rd and we were at Hedo by about 10:30.  I would recommend this to anyone ~ we were able to spend a nice quiet evening and get a good nights rest after our hectic travel day and still be at the resort in the early morning full of energy and ready to enjoy a full days stay at Hedo.  Gary & Lora stayed at the same hotel and we shared the bus and many laughs that morning.  It was a great introduction to the Bosum Buddies, the nicest, most laid back group of people one could hope to meet.

Check in was a breeze and we were ecstatic to learn we had been upgraded to H block after booking Run of the House with Denny.  Off to the room and down to the nude beach 10 minutes later.  We were introduced to more of the Bosum Buddies crew, Chris & Liz, Jilly & Mike and Leisa and Brent.  We had chatted with these guys before leaving and were really anxious to meet them all.  Again, the nicest, easiest group of people you could meet.  We also met one of the legends of Hedo, RastaBill.  Dont want to blow his cover, but deep down at heart, he is such a sweetheart and also arranges for a large donation to a Jamaican school every time he is there.  A Hedo legend for all the right reasons!  It was the start of a fantastic 10 days of fun in the sun, drinks, laughs, exhausting beach aerobics (thanks for the workout, Liz!), lazing the days away on floating rafts or reading on a beach chair, jerk chicken at 5, hottub before dinner, slutwear at dinner, and lots and lots of great sex with my hubby in the great outdoors and under those awesome mirrors in the rooms.

I wont give a day-by-day report since they all seem to melt into each other and I cant really remember on which day things happened.  These are some of our highlights:

Doing Piece by Piece at the Piano Bar early in the week (since I was wearing only 1 piece, it was a relatively short set!). It gave me such a thrill to strip for my hubby (and various other strangers in the bar), and boosted my ego for the rest of the trip.

Naughty School Girl Night ~ every new costume was worthy of letting out a yell and a laugh.  Special originality awards to WildBill, Precious, Val & Brent, and the Tweedle Dum/Tweedle Dee guys.

Having Ryan body-paint a t-shirt on me on Wednesday.  I received lots of compliments and it made me feel very sexy and special for the rest of the night.  Thanks, Ryan.

Toga Night ~ Denis made 2nd place in the mens contest with his Canadian toga.  Great effort, eh?  But Jilly really rocked the joint with her on-stage antics Jilly, you are my Hedo Hero!

Wet T shirt contest ~ even if I didnt make the final cuts, I got lots of pointers for next time.  Lora, you are a pro (and I mean that in the nicest way!)

Dinner at Kuyaba with Jo & Luc ~ a beautiful beach-side restaurant in Negril, very romantic, great food and drink, great company (the only downside to this was that we missed Gary & Loras vow renewal that afternoon.  Seeing the pictures made us realize we missed a truly special event.  Congratulations to you both)

Getting tattoed by the PinPals on Monday night.  Bridget and Arlene held on to the guys a little longer than the tattoos took to set, but who can blame them?  What a hoot!

Meeting Capital Bob, who is 82 and had been coming to Hedo since the 70s. Hes not sure exactly how many times hes been to Hedo, but its somewhere between 40 & 50!  What an interesting man with many stories to tell.  A true gentleman.

Dinner with the PinPals on Saturday at Pastafari ~ sometimes, you just gotta say, WHAT THE F**K!!!!

Dinner with Jo & Luc and Val & Brent at Pastafari early in the week to celebrate Jo & Brents birthdays.  Luc surprised Jo with a beautiful ring from the Hedo jewelry shop.

Body Shot Marathon ~ Val & Brent did a great job of promoting this event on Denny P and at the resort once they got there.  There was a great turnout and everyone got his or her licks in!

Grand Buffet on the Beach our last Friday there ~ yes, it was hectic getting the food and it could have been more organized.  But it was very romantic and special to sit under the stars, having dinner with our new friends and listening to the steel drum band.  Plus, Den ate 6 lobster tails, which makes this night one of his highlights for sure!

Finally, getting a proper sendoff from our remaining friends on Moon Hill when our bus left.  Perfect end to a perfect vacation!

At the beginning of the week, we had thought that maybe we were ready to visit other countries in our next couple of trips.  Its a big world and theres so much to see.  Well, by about day 3 or 4, we knew there was no question and that we were coming back to Hedo again next November.  Were even thinking of doing our 25th vow renewal there in 2 years instead of a long-anticipated European trip. This resort truly casts a magical spell. Its not the fanciest place, doesnt have the best food, and the rooms are nice but average.  BUT, the people that you meet at Hedo are the nicest, friendliest, most accepting people we have ever met anywhere.  Den & I commented how weird it was that like-minded people from all over the world seem to find this place and then cant stop themselves from coming back over and over again.

In closing (gee, I hope at least a few people are still reading this novel), we wanted to thank everyone we met for making our second trip so wonderful.  Special mention to Bill & DD (southern charmers for sure), Val & Brent (for all the extra efforts with the lanyards, the Body Shot Marathon, your costumes, etc) Steve & Wendy, Heath & Becky (for sharing your pics with us all), The PinPals ~ I want to be just like these guys when I grow up! (Thanks Arlene, for letting us share your special dinner), Bonnie & Roger (Bonnie, Den will never forget those teeth and Roger, I still treasure the memory of twirling your helicopter!), Barry & Sharon (nekkid boobie hugs available anytime, Barry) and Precious & Verchema, who has a beautiful voice which we were lucky to hear one night in the piano bar.

A very special thanks to the Bosom Buddies ~ Chris & Liz, Gary & Lora, Brent & Leisa, and Mike & Jilly~  who took in this little Canadian couple and made us feel welcomed from the first moment they met us.  You guys are the best and we cant wait to see you all again in November.  We will shamelessly bribe you again for your affections with chocolates next year.

I said this in my last trip report and Ill say it again ~ no matter what you hear or read about Hedo, you have to experience it for yourself to find out what a special place it is and how it can rejuvenate your relationship.  Cant wait for next year!
