Doug & Kelli - March, 2004

3-23 to 3-28

Tues Day 1: We slept 2 hours last night and could not sleep on the plane, just too damned excited after all this is our Anniversary, our second honeymoon and we are going to Hedo II. Arrive at Mobay 11:50AM followed by an uneventful bus ride. As we pulled up to Hedo we could both feel the excitement and energy that we had both anticipated for so long. We had booked GVN but they upgraded us to OVN no charge and we did like that, sleeping with the windows open and listening to the ocean was great. We were so hungry we went right to lunch and sat down by our introverted selves and within 2 minutes Gayon (one of the many fantastic EC's) sat down with us and began to give us the the basics. Then from 2 tables over a couple, G&K, who we had talked with online spotted us and came over. Before much longer another couple came over and introduced themselves as well, we had been there one hour and we already felt like a family... not bad for two relatively introverted people. After lunch it was time to explore and get our bearings on what was there ....well that lasted for about 10 minutes, we could not wait any longer to get to the nude beach and pool. Ahhhh it felt so good to get our clothes off and feel the warm sunshine and breeze on our naked bodies, it had been such a long cold winter in the northeast. A few drinks at Delroys and we were cruising, everyone was so friendly. The process of going from introverted to extroverted had begun. Later some of Roberts Jerk chicken (his skills plus the atmosphere make this a daily delight) then to the room to, as another couple in their trip report refer to, "walking the bed". Then to dinner with G&K at pastafari's and discussion on what was going to be worn to the PJ party. The plan was for Kel to wear a see thru body stocking and for me to wear nothing more than a large leaf held in place with dental floss. Kel held true with her outfit but I wimped out and wore silk boxers, my first but certainly not my last mistake, shoulda worn the leaf!

Later, a trip to the hot tub was in order and yes it was everything that we had imagined, YESSSSSSSSS. Finally stumbled into bed at 4AM, 26 hours after we slept last, sleep was NOT one of our goals for this trip.

Wed Day 2: Met up with 2 other couples for a bike ride into Negril. Lawrence and Gayon were our guides on what was intended to be a 45 minute ride but we incorporated some shopping, including a trip to the Hi/Lo, yes a grocery store. Kelli is such a nerd, she wanted to see how Jamaican grocery prices compared to home, but actually it was pretty cool. 2hours later we made it back, ready for more food, five meals a day easily becomes habit. Took one of the Hobie Cats out for a sail which was a blast to sail around naked, the people on the other Hobies from Sandals etc, with their bathing suits and lifejackets sure seemed overdressed for the occasion. Then off to the nude beach, laid down for about 10 minutes but felt maybe we were missing something so went to the pool and met more friendly people, experimented with some new drinks and then I watched Lawrence paint a bathing suit on Kelli. Jerk Chicken, hot tub then off to dinner at Munahana with some friends. We actually liked Munahana and Garth taught Kelli some rather nasty dance moves, shake what you mama gave ya. We found that you get back from the staff exactly what you give them....if you treat them with respect and as a good friend they will do the same for you, get to know there names, show appreciation and you will have a friend for life.

Later Kelli and I tested the stability of the hammocks on the prude beach.....they are very secure! Then off to "chat" in the hot tub. To bed around 3:30.

Thur Day 3: Typical start to the day, meal 1 of 5 per day, can't understand how we gained 10 pounds apeice. Typically we had breakfast, lunch, chicken around 5, dinner around 9 then midnight snack. Did the rock painting today and then later truth or dare. Although we did not do alot of the games we would recommend doing them because they work very well at introducing you to others. In the truth or dare we assigned names to ourselves and somehow in slightly inebriated state I ended up with Donkeyf@#$ and Kel was Cherryf@#$. At first, for obvious reasons I did not care for my nickname but whenever we saw the other couples throughout our stay we would call each other by our nicknames and it really did turn out to be fun. Now, believe it or not I miss being called Donkeyf@#$. Then we did the catamaran cruise to Ricks, Kel and 3 other woman were topless so it was more of a prude cruise. Lots of spring breakers at Ricks so it was not too much fun but did the wimpy cliff jump (15 feet). flashed some people on a yacht on our way back, never saw dentures fall out so fast! Missed the jerk chicken, walked the bed for awhile then got our matching see through toga's on (was not going to wimp out this time) and off to dinner. Then dancing at the disco followed by several naked trips down the waterslide with a great group and recruited more as time went on. Skinny-dipping in the prude pool with the occasional flash thru the windows behind the disco bar...you could actually hear the cheering underwater. Then off to the hot tub for more "chatting" and to bed at 4...averaging 4 1/2 hours of sleep per night but maximizing our Hedo time.

Fri Day 4: Typical breakfast then off for snorkeling at the reef, the water is so clear but recommend bringing bread, it really attracts the fish. We had tried many drinks, but for the most part I was sticking to rum and coke but today I discovered vodka slush's, OMG if made right they can get an old slug like myself feeling pretty frisky. After lunch it started to rain pretty hard and was getting pretty cold standing at Delroys so I volunteered my services to share my body heat with some of the lovely ladies present. My prayers were answered as I kept two sexy naked women warm, I am feeling pretty damn extroverted at this point, wink, wink, nudge nudge. Later, Kelli volunteered her services as some of the guys needed a body for body shots and not wanting to be left behind on the extroversion scale she agreed...the progression continues! The rain continues, so we go to the hot tub, by this time it is 3:30 or 4 and the hot tub is as crowded as I had seen it....standing room only with lots of "chatting" going on, some very in depth conversations. We stayed there until 7 or so, we were very pruny so off to dinner and later to the disco. We had worked so hard on improving our standing on the extroversion scale earlier in the hot tub that we were spent, of to bed early, 2AM.

Sat Day 5: Meal 1 of the day then off to the nude beach and pool, this was going to be our last full day. Went back to our room to get ready for lunch and found the dreaded eviction notice. We had seen people waiting for their bus ride back to the airport at other times during our stay and you could feel their pain, now our turn was coming up in less than 24 hours. How could this be happening so soon? Worry not, we are going to make the most of our last day! We had signed up for parasailing but they called back and said it was too windy, it looked fine but whatever. So we went out sailing again, those people on the other Hobies from Sandals etc still had not learned the proper dress code for sailing in Jamaica....rookies! Vodka slush's were kicking in pretty good by now and we laid out on the float. $1,000 for airfare, $2000 for room and board, making love to my wife on a raft while the sandals boat cruises by chanting eat her, eat her, PRICELESS!!!!!!

Then off to Munahana for dinner again. Later we met up with some of our regular group for dancing and nude waterslide followed by some nude volleyball in the prude pool...tons of fun. Afterward we went to the hot tub, there were some very interesting "group discussions" going on, very educational. Hit the hay around 4AM.

Sun Day 6: We need to meet for the bus at 1, so we hire a cab for $20 and go shopping in Negril. The driver stays with us the entire time while we shop, he was very helpful. Come back and say our good byes to as many of our new friends as we can find, give some girl scout cookies to the staff members who have been so helpful grab some fries from Robert and one last vodka slush and head for the dreaded bus.

Really tired by the time we get to the airport only to find that the computer systems were down and we had to wait in a humongous line. Met two girls who stayed at The Ritz Carlton, they were feeling pretty good about themselves until we told them were we stayed....if they had dentures they would have been in the same place as the ones from the "yachtsies". As the chatting (yes real chatting this time) continued they seemed to become very curious about our stay. After standing in line for 5 hours we finally got to our plane, leaving 2 hours late then an unexpected stop in Charlotte caused us to miss our connecting flight. USAir was offered us a night at the Marriot and then first flight in the AM but I needed to be at work earlier than they were going to get me there. They were less than accommodating, we miss the Hedo staff, so we had to rent a car and drive 6 hours arriving home at 7AM, shower and off to work. Sleep was not one of our goals but I though it might be nice to have a few hours before being thrown back to the lions. It took me 4 days to recover but the smile ain't comin off for a long, long time.

We want to say to all of our new friends that had a blast with each and everyone of you and it is the people, both staff and guests that make Hedo such a wonderful experience!

Your extroverted friends, Cherryf&#$ and Donkeyf&#$
