Rick & Joyce - April, 2002

April 7-14, 2002

This was our second trip to Hedo II and it was even better than the first. Security and customs were no problem actually very fast. We took a non-stop flight from Detroit that arrived on time. We took the bus ride from hell and it was even worse than when we went three years ago. The road had some nice new areas but in between the new areas was broken up road that had huge rocks scattered all over. With one stop (for potty break and red stripe) the bus ride took two hours way too long. We have always met new friends on the bus but taking Tim Air would be a good move until the road is better (soon come yeah right).

We booked through Global Discount Vacations and had no problems at all. We arrived at 2:00pm and were given our room key almost instantly. We booked garden view nude and thanks to our travel agency (and less people at the resort) received an upgrade to ocean view nude.  A great way to start our vacation!

The resort was only half full which was good and bad. There were no problems getting towels and hardly ever a line at any bar for drinks (except the disco bar on pj night). Getting reservations for any of the restaurants was easier this time also. With fewer people, the coordinators had a hard time getting many people to join in the activities. Many times the nude volleyball game didnt take place - along with others games. Hardly anyone wanted to participate in the beach party. Did get to play naked twister this time though and it was fun. We especially remember Lucky and Chubby trying their hardest to make sure that everyone was having a good time. We did get many Hedo Bucks that we traded in for some booze to bring home. We also did have to buy a bottle of rum cream at the airport couldnt go home without it.

We e-mailed some people before hand from the visitors list on Denny Ps site. Special thanks to Don and Ana who created a web site to share pictures. We would highly recommend e-mailing people ahead of time because you will have many instant friends before even leaving. Of course we also met many new people that we didnt e-mail and made even more friends as the week progressed.

We were very pleased to meet Denny P. in person this trip. We have used his site a lot and were happy to thank him in person for the best Hedo site on the web. Denny is a genuinely nice person and we can see why so many people wanted to spend time with him. We had the pleasure to share dinner with him one evening and enjoyed his stories and knowledge. Thank you Denny for making our trip even more enjoyable!!

The food was still average, the drinks were great, and meeting new friends makes going to Hedo II more special. We met many new people and want to thank Frank & Luann, Tom & Patti, Craig & LeeAnn, Hedo Dave and many others who made our trip more enjoyable.

The new construction on the prude side looked great. The waterslide was fun (especially nude), the rock climbing wall looked fun but we never saw anyone using it and the new pool looked nice. The new spa and fitness center looked impressive. We did spend almost all of our time on the nude side so we really didnt use the new areas very much.

Our advice to anyone thinking about going is to book your trip now. We realize that Hedo is not for everyone but if you even think you will have a good time go and you will have a great time!!

Thanks again Denny for such a great site (that convinced us to go on our first trip) and especially for your company throughout the week!
