The flights to Jamaica are never much fun when you are coming from California its just a long way to go. We landed in Montego Bay just after 2 PM on Monday 8-12-02 and right to TimAir 2:25 we were in Negril and by 2:35 our trip was over we had arrived at the zoo. Our room was ready but the air conditioner was NOISY and barely kept the room cool. Cindy wanted a nap I wasnt very tired but I went with her anyway! Well off to the nude beach to check things out, this was my 4th trip to Hedonism 2 and they have made some improvements and added some total dumb shit (one mans opinion).
Improvements: The entire beach is clothing optional. There are some small plunge pools between the main restaurant and beach now they are nice looking. There is a new pool on the beach below the disco but the water was WAY too cold and no one was seen in the pool. The water slide is a blast for sure. The new disco is the old disco best as I can remember. The message area is also very nice and there is very nice air-conditioned workout area with a lot of nice equipment, made me wish I had my tennis shoes with me.
Dumb shit would consist of a rock climbing wall and an ice rink. I am not sure what a lot of nude people are going to do on an ice rink; I guess it could be fun! This money could have been better spent to fix the roof of the main dining room as it still leaks when it rains.
We had e-mailed some people on DennyPs web page before going to Jamaica, Cindy did not make it to dinner and while I was getting some food from the buffet Dan found me and asked me to join him and his wife Laurie.
Tuesday I went diving and meet Jim and Susan. You guys were great thanks for the fun times. Another couple that we met thru DennyPs web site. We also met Lenny and Jeanine great couple; we hope to see them next year at Hedonism 3. This is also the day I could not remember Marys name. Sorry Mary but I did get it right on Wednesday. We also got to meet Flea and Wade this was a very fun day thanks to everyone. Today is also the day Kevin and Des from Cocktails International showed up they were a lot of fun at the pool. Within 30 minutes most everyone at the pool was wearing Cocktails International temporary tattoos. Tonight is pajama party night and Cindy has a nice outfit so we went to the disco around 11:30 it was loud and smoky, we had one drink not much was going on. The resort was booked at approximately 50% at least that is what I was told at the front desk the place was quite.
Wednesday I went diving had a great time and then some thunder showers, drinks at Delroys bar, but he was on vacation. Robert cooked us up some lobsters (got them from a local fisherman) for lunch thanks Susan! Cindy and Susan got their hair braided today. We had the pleasure of dining with Jeanine, Flea, Lenny and Wade at Pastafaras and we had a very nice meal with some fun people.
Thursday I went diving again and had another great dive. If you are a certified diver dont miss the 9 AM dive. We had a great time on the nude side again today talked to a lot of people and had a great time. Played some volleyball in the sand again today, a lot of fun for all. Robert cooked us some killer jerk chicken this afternoon right Jeanine? Lenny? Those were not all my plates!! Toga party was fun said goodbye to some new friends and had a whole lot of fun. Again the disco was Smoky, loud, and a lot of bright blinking lights. I did some late night water sliding with Wade watching the fun. We did talk 2 young couples into dropping their cloths and going down the slide. When we left they were still having fun they must have went 20 times each.
Friday today is the day we have to leave, the good news is we are going to Hedonism 3 for 8 nights and the bad news is we are leaving our new best friends. It always surprises us how we get to know people in just a few days and it feels like we have known them for years. We sure missed everyone we met at Hedonism 2.
Friday we left at around 2:00 PM TimAir back to Montego Bay for the 90-minute bus ride to Hedonism 3. Kevin and Des were also headed to Hedonism 3 today they had to get the 12-noon bus. Well what do you know we get to Montego Bay and theres Kevin and Des, Cindy and I played it up like we have not seen them in years the locals must they thought we were crazy. The bus ride went fast after all we already had a few days under our belt and the bus driver never had a chance with Kevin and myself. There were 6 couples for Hedonism 3 and one couple who wanted very much to go to Starfish. (2 or 3 times the couple announced that they were going to Starfish they did not what the bus driver to miss their stop). When we arrived at our room I found that the air conditioning worked with a remote control. I could not find the remote so I called the desk and they brought one in 15 minutes, great job. We did the nap thing and then Cindy washed her hair and we found the hair dryer didnt work. I called the front desk and in 5 minutes there was a service man to fix the problem the fuse was blown very nice response time. We had some dinner and then spent time with Kevin and Des, another fun time and a good night. Des thanks for the Wet Platinum! Kevin thanks for the Hat.
Saturday we met more members of the Cocktails International group as they showed up, this is a fun group for sure. We had already meet Ric, Ivy, Ty and Mia from a trip to Las Vegas where they were nice enough to take time and meet us for a drink. We were sure on different schedules as we hardly saw you guys.
We went to the nude beach and we were VERY disappointed, if you have been to Negril seven-mile beach is so nice. The sand on the beach at Hedonism 3 is more like ground up rocks. This is the area that Hedo 2 wins hands down no comparison, if you need a nice beach I would not recommend Hedo 3. The prude beach is nice at Hedo 3 but its way on the other side of the property and all the people were wearing their cloths. Tonight they set up dinner in the open patio area and this was a spread of food to die for there were 10 tables of everything. Very well done. We noticed right away that Hedonism 3 had much more variety of food and it was all very good. We did not go to Hedonism for the food but it is nice to have a great meal every night. I even tried not to eat much at the nude grill because dinner was always so good.
Sunday I went on the morning dive, the water was a little rough but it was a good time. A.J. the dive master was great! Met Steve and Monica, some more fun people from the Cocktails International group. When we came up from under the water the weather had changed and it was very dark and raining hard along with some thunder and lighting. We all got in the boat (Des was counting) fast and got back to the dock even faster. The storm did not last long we were in the nude pool enjoying the sun in about an hour. We played some volleyball in the pool and socialized. Tonight we are going to eat at Munahana Japanese restaurant. Cindy put on some resort clothing and she sure looked great all night, people kept telling her you look very nice tonight. We sat down for dinner at a table for 6 with Casper as our cook. Casper made dinner and put on a show the entire time, ask for him you will not be disappointed. During dinner Casper was calling Cindy princess that stuck with her for the rest of the trip.
Monday I went diving, it was good again. We went to the piano bar around 11PM and the place was full of people, we had a great time. Thanks to all the guests that were singing nice job B. Wayne, JuJu, and everyone. Something we noticed was that there was not that much smoke in the air, the exhaust system works very well. We stopped by the disco on our way back to the room not much smoke there either it was very nice.
Tuesday I went on both the dives today! Both were good! Just another very nice day hanging by the pool, played some Volleyball. Today we moved the Volleyball from the nude pool to the Quad pool there was a lot more room and the nude pool was full of people. Cindy was the Volleyball referee she made some good calls most of the time the loosing team got the call. Tonight I am going on a night dive down to the dive shack at 7:00 PM. There I was on the boat dock and Ric, Ivy, Ty and Mia yelled my name from the top of the Scotch Bonnet restaurant that was funny. We had a great dive again, that was three dives today. Tonight is the pajama party night and Cindy has another nice outfit so we went to the disco around 11:30. Many people, another good party, we had some drinks, dancing and off to bed.
Wednesday slept in and it felt great. We played in the Quad pool for most of the afternoon. There is a nice swim up bar only the bar closes at 5:00 PM so then it is time to get ready for dinner. Tonight we ate at Munahana Japanese restaurant again and lucky us we are at Caspers table another very nice meal and evening. Bare as You Dare night and we had some clothing for this night so we go to the disco at 11:55. It was hot and we did some naked water slide runs.
Thursday slept in again wow 2 days in a row. Today I bribed the Volleyball referee (2 caret tennis bracelet at the duty free shop) and all the calls went for the team I was on well that lasted about one game. Toga party at dinner tonight we are going to dine with Harlan and Kim from Texas at Pastafaras. We had a lot of fun with you two! We all had some grilled Lobsters and they were so very good. Service was a little slow but we really had nowhere to go anyhow. Cindy crashed out and I was left in the disco. Tonight is Scotts last night he is leaving on the 3:00 AM bus. I run out of film so off to the room for more and Cindy was reading I reminded her Scott was leaving and I got some film and went back to the disco. About 45 minutes later we saw a bright yellow dress float through the disco over to Scott and then it was gone it was Cindy. She has a very dark tan and the dress is very bright so all we could see was dress. Another funny item is the temporary tattoo on her butt cheek well its washed off but there is a lack of tan so you see the tattoo still on her fanny kind of cute.
Friday well today is our last day we go home what a bummer on the other hand we are missing our daughter and need to get back to our normal life weve been in Jamaica 11 nights now. We tried to do everything today that could be done and visit with everyone to say our goodbyes. We had another very nice dinner with Harlan, Kim and Mark joined us tonight.
Saturday we are on the 9:00AM buss to reality up at 7:00 get things packed bags need to be outside the door by 8:00AM. Go to the dive shop and collect my gear get some breakfast and then it was 9:00AM we sat around the lobby waiting for the bus. We have to fly to Miami and then to Dallas and then to San Jose .Bob and lee could you believe our seats on that flight from Miami to Dallas!! WOW first class on a Boeing 777 is great!
