Hedo II

Although this trip was #4, the trip itself offered something different for us from travelling there to the daily routine.  So its only fitting to do the trip report a little different.

Pre-trip fun

It all started on March 22 with a simple email to us (and several others), a web site was set up on Yahoo and then the fun began.  Emails were flying, friendships were started, chat times, pictures set up and finally a name De Zoo Bares.  We were a family with 80 some couples complete with laynards.  Thanks to some hard work and long hours the groundwork for one fantastic week was formed.  In the 26 days to when we left, over 1200 emails in total  were sent by the group some days well over 150 emails had to be read unbelieveable.

Departure/Arrival

Vowed that regardless of what the weather was like, I would travel wearing shorts and tshirt (remember this vow would come back to haunt).  Left home with temp just under freezing and a lot of strange looks from fellow travellers at airport.  Although a two hour delay in Toronto due to mechanical troubles, the four hour flight actually took 3 hours why cant that happen all the time.  Another strange happening when we arrived at MoBay, there was not a single person in the customs/imigration room completely empty.  This made for a record time in reaching TimAir.  Rest of trip was uneventful (more on TimAir later).

Occupancy

Prior to going we followed (as usual) the message board which showed varying degrees of occupancy but never full.  Was not too bad first couple of days but once the weekend hit the bumping started.  On Saturday upwards of 25 people were shifted over to Grand Dildo with several others being asked to volunteer to be moved temporarily.  The full house livened up the resort to a feverish pitch we had not experienced in previous trips.

Renovations

We were eagerly waiting to see the renovations and were impressed to say the least.  Big visual improvements but have finally figured out why they chose the prude side the renovations will last a long time since very few people are using them.  The new pool on the beach was vacant most times we walked by or with only a couple of people in it.  The slide is well in use (by nudes), the small pools is a question mark are they just decoration or can they be used?? Only saw people  in there once again nudes.  The gym and spa well they looked nice at least but not sure on how the equipment  is.  My only thought on the gym is a place to drop off with a coffee in the morning and watch once in a while until it gets too tiresome.  Other trip reports mention our feelings turn the area over to the nudes and the area would be enjoyed by many more people.

Staff

We thought we were getting a bit picky but noticed our concerns in other recent trip reports some staff lacked any courtesay/cheerfulness/warmth.  Even Delroy was way off track a couple of days bad hair day??  Service at the nude bar in the mornings was slow to very slow.  Dining room staff though was excellent  in our opinion.  Friendly, courteous and always smiling.  Teddy was his usually friendly self.  Nursing staff was very prompt in helping me locate some insulin after I accidently broke one of my vials.  On our last night, our AC in the room was not working and with the extreme heat, they moved us to another room very quickly.

Food

Never has been a problem with us usually found something to eat very easily.  Right now I am a bit scared of stepping on the scales.  This time we tried the Japanese restaurant (twice) and loved it.  Our favorite person Cleopatra is there and she made the two visits very enjoyable.  A visit to the Scotch Bonnet was tried and again very surprised and pleased.  Pastafaris was its usual good place to eat although Line felt it was better than previous years.

Activities

Our usual schedule this trip was:  beach for 1 2 hrs, pool till noon, lunch, nap, pool, jerk chick, supper, nap and honestly we did try to get to the hot tub and actually did make it after midnight once.  The newly formed group De Zoo Bares bonded and the new found family of friends made the week what  it was for us fantastic.  Some memories of very special people now rest in our hearts and we hope we can have a reunion same time next year.  We are still wondering how the Toy Man from the UK ever got through customs with the gadgets he carried over amazing; our organizer Ed and his ball of energy; our designated nipple fluffer extraordinaireand many others will never be forgotten.  One big event started was the 1st International Vibrator  Olympics Race.  This jewel was begun by the Toy Man and the Organizer who somehow arranged for the Boston Radio station to broadcast the event live back to Boston.  Not sure how many accidents it caused during rush hour but New England will never be the same.  Incidently, the race was won by the yellow banana (yep thats right) from the UK; second place was Junior from Canada and third went to the US.  One couple in our group got  married while another couple renewed their vows after 25 years of marriage.

TimAir Sex

Noticed that question was asked on the message board.  Yes you can partake with the pilot as evidenced by our flight  in.  Not sure if its a good idea though as distracting the pilot with the palm sisters does not create safe flying although the pilot had a huge smile on his face when we landed.

In closing, without naming names, many thanks to De Zoo Bares for your friendship and a chance to share in the fun.  The tears shed when we left easily evidenced the closeness we all shared until we meet again (and we are sure we will) have a save year.  Luv you all!!!!!!!!!!
