Trip Report--Tracie and JB 6/02

This was our second trip to Hedo and we had a blast!  Thanks to all the new friends and old that made our trip the best ever.

Day 1--we arrived at Hedo by Tim Air, with me saying many Hail Marys under my breath because of the high winds when we landed.  JB didnt notice any bad weather at all.  We were a little apprehensive getting to Hedo because last year we had come already knowing people, and this year, we were flying solo!  Within an hour, we had our wonderful ocean-view room and were on the beach.  Our first night was p.j. night, and we won with our S&M outfits!

Day 2--we saw cloudy skies and high winds, so didnt go diving as we had planned.  Eventually, the day cleared, and we participated in several Hedo games such as Guess Your Mate (in which JB couldnt guess my feet and I couldnt guess his upper lip), and Naked Twister. We met some new friends, Rob and Lauri, in these games, and continued to go between beach and pool the rest of the day. We also met Lee and Cindy, who seemed to be having a great time in the pool on a float surrounded by people.  Hmm...

Day 3--we got to dive and were close to seeing a nurse shark, but couldnt get close because there was one guy HOGGING THE VIEW!  We did see an octopus, however, so were satisfied.  JB didnt run out of air, so it was a successful dive.  We hung out in the pool and hot tub again, and met some more new friends, Kris and Debi, when JB was telling his Nair story and they were laughing like crazy.  We met Jessie and Debbie also, the Hedo champs for underwater muff diving!  We felt honored to meet such famous folks.  We all participated in butt-chugging, which was a new game to us, and Jessie was thrilled to not actually have to chug anything.  He just enjoyed the view from below.  Toga night was fun, and we had to try the slide around midnight in order to cool down.

Day 4--another morning of diving, with no mishaps.  Still went to 60 and didnt see anything unusual.  Played more games with friends and hung out all day. Even got to go water-skiing and met Judy, who quickly came over to the nude side after being corrupted by us!  We ate at Pastafari, which took FOREVER to get our food.  A single guy (who never took off his black pants for the next 3 days) sat with us and told us all about plastic surgery.  Fun!

Day 5--went on the booze cruise with Rob and Lauri and Kris and Debi. Met some new friends--Kelly and Kathy, also from Texas. Enjoyed getting as many people as possible in the net at the front of the boat.   When we got back, our old friends from last year, Hope and Brian, were here and quickly became part of the new group.  JB kept us all entertained with his antics.

Day 6--all the days are starting to run together.  Dont understand how that happens! Went on the 90 dive and had trouble finding the reef.  Finally had to settle for the 60 reef so the divemaster could find it.  Had fun out on the raft with Rob, Lauri, Kris, Debi, Kathy, Kelly, Hope, and Brian playing with balloons.   Went to Veronicas every night, and this night was my lucky night.  I stupidly opened my mouth, was noticed, and had to then strip on the piano! My debut, and I cant tell anyone at home about it!  We enjoyed singing with Dave, though.

Day 7--some of our friends had to leave and we were sad to see them go.  We found more friends to hang around with, such as Steve and Jennah and Dave and Carol, and still had Hope and Brian.  We did body shots at the pool, which was a fun experience! JB and I finally got the Guess Your Mate game right when we both guessed each others private parts correctly!  Bingo!

Day 8, 9, 10--hell, I cant remember what happened when and this is getting too long! We enjoyed watching Dave strip at Veronicas one night, and we had an ultimate last day dive experience--the divemaster saw a hammerhead shark 10 ft. away!! Said hed never seen one there before! Needless to say, we swam away from where the shark was, and the rest of the dive was fine.  We also went on the tubing trip down the Great River.  The tubing was a lot of fun, but the hour and a half taxi ride each way was too long!! Especially when the driver had to stop twice for air in the tires, and had to stop to fix the radiator on the way back.

All  in all, it was a fantastic trip and we cant wait to go back.  The rennovations are beautiful, the slide is a blast, and the people are irie. I enjoyed being with my wonderful husband and didnt want to leave.  Hedo come soon, mon!
