David & Lisa - December, 2001

David & Lisa 1st Trip to Hedo II   Dec. 1-8, 2001

OK, David here. I'm not sure about this trip report writing stuff, but since I have read so
many of everyone else's, I feel that I need to write one to pay everyone back.
I wouldn't call this well laid out, just random thoughts of a trip to paradise.
Sounds like a title!

"Random Thoughts of a Trip to Paradise"

Our trip report starts far back in May. That is when we booked our trip for Sep 15-22,
2001. Well, we all know what happened on 9/11, so you have already guessed, we had to
reschedule. Dec 1-8 was the only time we could manage to go and we are glad we did!
First of all Dec. 2 was our 12th anniversary so that fell in there just perfect. Second, if we
had went any other time, we would not have met the great, awesome, wonderful people
that we met while we were there.

But I better not get ahead of myself.  After 9/11 we decided that if the planes were flying,
we were going. Lisa and I were so stressed with the not knowing what was going to
happen that we lost our excitement of going and just hoped and prayed that we would
make it there. After the waiting, Monday Sep. 13 I called AJ and Go Classy and
rescheduled the trip. I still cant understand why Go Classy insisted the I call AJ, they
were our travel agent, that should have been their job, strike against Go Classy. Well
soon after we went to war... Oh no, are we ever going to be able to go now?!?!?!

As Dec. 1 crept up, we were still afraid to get excited about our trip. But of coarse we did
manage to get there, or you would not be reading a trip report.

(shut up David and get to the point!)  OK, Friday night we got in the car and headed for
Atlanta, GA (6 1/2 hour car ride, stupid, but I did it that way to avoid changing planes
and taking the chance of lost luggage and/or major lay-overs). Got to ATL with plenty of
time to get everything checked and get to the gate. Tired, but still ready to get to Hedo!

We ran into Dave and Laina at the airport. We chatted there for awhile in the smoking
lounge. While sitting there chatting another couple noticed Lainas T-shirt and we heard
We know where YOU'RE going.  I didn't realize till later at Hedo that the other couple
was none other than Jim & Angie whom I had been e-mailing! Jim and Angie were an
absolutely wonderful couple who we spent quiet a bit of time with until they had to leave
prematurely. Sorry guys Lisa and I really wish you had felt up to staying, we really
missed you after you left.

We met up with other e-mail friends Dieter & Joyce. A true joy to our trip. We spent a lot
of time with Dieter & Joyce. Thanks for being there, I do hope we get to go to Hedo with
you again! I've got to say, we enjoyed meeting everyone we did. Joyce introduced us to
Mike & Linda, a couple they had e-mailed before going. Mike & Linda were another
couple we spent a lot of time with. Lisa and I were the Hedo virgins of the group, so we
were broke in well by all these Hedo veterans!!!  We got to pick their brains with
countless questions we always had great dinner companions.

Well, as usual I am rambling.

As I have said before, this was our first trip to Hedo II, we both thought the food was
fine. We ate most lunches at Robert's and most other meals in the main dining hall. We
did eat at Pastafaris twice and enjoyed it both times. We did not go hungry while we were
there!

We stayed in a nude ocean view room #2276 if I remember right. The construction made
the walk to the main dining hall longer than it should have been, but other than that, the
construction was not that big of a deal for us.

When we got to our room, we opened the curtain and sure enough, there were nude
people everywhere! (our first trip for nude as well)  What the hell, were here, we might
as well! I remember telling Lisa, the longer we wait, the harder it will be, to get out there
nude that is... LOL  I braved it and left the room nekkid, Lisa wrapped a towel around her
waist. Mistake!!!!   No one really cared, but the next day Augustus was bringing new
towels around the beach chairs, gave one to Lisa and told her that he didn't want to see
her wearing this one...hehehe, someone did notice!

Most every day was the same, get up, go to breakfast, walk down the beach back towards
the room, disrobe, and hit the beach, either float awhile or just veg out in a chair for
awhile, then onto the pool to hang with all our new Hedo friends, drink eat and be merry.

Robert's was great and so convenient. Most days Lunch at Robert's. Lisa loved the jerk
chicken after sunset. Sunset, everyday was a postcard sunset. It didn't rain a drop during
our stay. I had read so many trip reports talking about afternoon showers, that I was
almost looking forward to them!  But they were not missed by us.

If you read Dieter & Joyce's trip report you might understand this next random thought.
Joyce, I know I should have left Maybe Daisy with you guys...But she was still a virgin
and I knew with the WWW crowd, she wouldn't be for long!  OK, I give here...
I had read about and seen the pics of Ewenice Ramsbottom (I'm sure I spelled that
wrong) in  The Naked Truth About Hedonism II by Chris Santilli and being somewhat
of a jokester myself, I found a blow-up COW, complete with love opening.
Since Lisa is a collector of cows, I thought this would be a good idea. But I never thought
I'd be worrying about her virginity! ;-) Anyway, our good friend Jim thought of the name
Maybe Daisy and it sounded much better than anything I had been able to come up
with. So I got out the permanent marker and wrote her name across her chest. Maybe
Daisy hung out with us on the beach a few days, and even made it to the pool and really
enjoyed floating around in the cold water Jacuzzi with Dieter, Joyce, Lisa and myself.
But most the time, she just sat in the window over-looking the nude beach. She seemed
like she had a good time.

Lisa and I WON first place for couple on PJ night and yes Joyce, I'm still kicking myself
for leaving the Disco on PJ night. We left early, it was just to loud for us.

The latter part of the week the WWWer's started rolling in. I do believe they were going
to be a wild/fun/partying bunch of people!!!  Maybe a little to much for us little first
timers. I think Lisa and I got the perfect amount of Hedo that we could have asked for.
We did get to meet Denny in the pool, but somehow never got to meet Diane. Also got to
meet Chris, but never got to meet Doug. We weren't going to be there for the WWW
week, so we really didn't get to meet very many of the WWWer's.

Lisa did get one of Jenny's brownies. I think it's safe to say she enjoyed it, but there was
SO much of it, we ended up giving it away to a very nice single man named Allen, I sure
hope he enjoyed it and passed on the goodness. Allen was one of the only single guys we
actually met while we were there, but he was a pleasure to meet. A very good looking
guy and I'm sure the women were falling all over him during the WWW week. Allen,
one of these days we'll have to find you and see if that dirt bike can keep up with a 4x4
in the woods.

We did notice a few Wallys & Vinnies but no major hassles or anything. One evening we
were in the hot tub with several couple friends and there was a Wally staring, but to be
honest he looked like he was so stoned he would have stared at a rock.

We flew TimAir to and from, just didn't like the stories of the bus so we didn't even
attempt it. Leaving, we had a LONG wait at the airport in Mobay for our plane to board
and then even more waiting before take off, but the pilots made up the time in the air.

Check in was fast. TimAir was too. We did not experience Island time as so many have
wrote about until we were checked in and then the Hedo experience kicked in, we slowed
down and enjoyed ourselves. The best vacation we have ever taken. By the second day
Lisa was already asking me when we were going to come back.

One tip that many do mention : E-mail people before you go, Lisa was so glad that I had,
it made meeting others so much easier. Some people you e-mail will end up being the
ones you spend most your time with, the ones you don't spend that much time with will
still be the pleasant people you get to say hi to in passing.

Oh well, I guess I'll wrap this up. Saturday Dec 8, 2001 came, the day we were to leave.
Just the day before we had met several others. I'm sorry to those I don't mention, but I
did drink a lot, and the local smoke was clouding my mind as well. Jim & Angie, love
you guys. Again, we missed you after you left. Dieter & Joyce, you are wonderful
people! Mike & Linda, we enjoyed your company more than you can imagine. Bill &
Cindy who we met only the day before we left, great outgoing couple.

There is so much I haven't said, but I better not write a book.
Most of all, THANK YOU to all those we met there, like they say, the people make the
place! Thank You to Chris for the wonderful book & Denny for the amazing web site.
Because of these two AWESOME resources, we were truly prepared for our virgin trip.
