Baron & Theresa - July, 2002

preface: i am the baron. my wife, theresa (lovingly referred to as momma for the rest of this report), and i were at hedo for 10 days during the www tour and beyond this past july (02). were getting ready to go back to jamaica in november, but, not to hedo.

i promised the dennymon when i saw him during the www tour that id send a trip report and i try and always keep my promises. actually, i stopped doing trip reports a couple of years ago because of all the flack ive seen laid on very nice people who put their thoughts and feelings in the dmons trip report files. there are some very nasty folks that read the board and those people make others not want to post AYTHING! including me. sometimes i just shake my head. i cant blame folks for not wanting to post trip reports. some readers are very nasty and have no problem spreading negativity. like i said, i promised dmon and i always try and keep my promises. i hope you enjoy my thoughts, if not, so be it.

everything expressed in this is my opinion, and my opinion only. doesnt mean its law, but, it matters to me and mine, and thats all that matters in the end. its has been pieced together, edited, proofed, and im positive that i havent caught all mistakes, so, bear with me. sometimes i write phonetically. so just cause it aint spelled write, dont mean im not trying to still gittin ma message across. kapish? great.

this is a long one, so, if you dont have the time or want, dont read it. when i first started going to hedo, about 5 years ago, i was a different person. life and hedo has helped me grow up in so many ways. there was a time that i useta explain myself to folks. now, i dont really care what you or anyone thinks. if you didnt pay for my trip, it doesnt matter what you think. ive alway been a rather quiet man, but, now, even more.

im a dennymon board addict and read it every day. i used to post here and there and then i stopped. over the years. the board has become a vehicle for posturing and nastiness. im sure that the dmon didnt want it to go there, but, because of the nature of human animals, thats what i see. so, what i have to say on the board, about hedo, about the trip, and jamaica will be contained in this writing.

hedo physically:

absolutely gorgeous! the prude side improvements are impressive. the wait was worth it. warning! since theyve added lush grenery all around, the mosquitos are horrible! lots breeding grounds for skeeters and they make full use of them. be sure to bring several cans of repellent with deet. checking with airline restrictions, you can bring it in your checked on luggage for personal use. check your airline websites for specifics. use it liberally! especially if you like to stick out a lot of skin. those little suckers will work on yo butt bigtime.

food is still good. not gourmet, but, will gitcha full. if you wanna bitch, you can and will. but, whats the use. you wont go hungry. the coordinators work hard and im always impressed by the long hours they put in. my hat is still off to them.

water temps still fluctuate, but, what else is new. rooms are still good to sleep in, IF you happen to get a bed that hasnt been worn out. hey, its happenned to us, several times. you know, the ones where you roll together to the middle of the bed? the ones where the springs dont spring anymore? yeah, you know.

hedo mentally:

now thats a whole nuther bear. this was momma and my 7th trip and probably our last, save a day or nite pass visit to see the many workers weve come to know and enjoy . weve had a great time in all our visits and would recommend it to certain people. disco is top notch. prude beach is nice. nude beach sucks. never have cared for delroy and still dont. hes a shucker and jiver and i dont believe a word of his act. hes not a very nice person. scumba is cool. just trying to get along and make his living. word of warning, if you want to have a pleasurable stay on the nude side, dont piss them off. you become conveniently invisible for a while in the bartenders eyes. theyre realll good at that. ive watched em. they know what theyre doing. ms. paulette, i think thats her name., the woman at the prude bar, is a peach. absolutely wonderful woman. ms. clarke, the resident manager that actually works, always goes out of her way to make sure that we have everything we need, and has on each visit. well miss the wonderful people we may never get the chance to meet. however, we will treasure the ones we have met. its just that we have had our fill of hedo.

case in point, we are monogamus. while i do enjoy the sexually charged atmosphere of hedo, its not really necessary for me and the boss. we dont need anything at all to inhance our enjoyment of each other, thank goodness. gittin naked is no big thing to me either. i can take it or leave it. its vital to some and i respect that. knock yoself out! momma and i got started in negril for the beautiful beach. theres nothing like it! its also not located at hedo. its further up the beach. actually, where well be staying during the latter half of november.

oh yeah!

since were not freeky deeky, once youve seen one thing, youve seen em all. for the most part, any xxx video you purchase would do whatever once sees far more justice than what one actually witnesses at hedo. for those of you who know me, you know how i spend the majority of my time at hedo. for those of you who dont, well, im very quiet and a watcher. my favorite place is at the end of the cool tub on the nude side. ive been known to sit there for hours. i see A LOT!! so, my idea of hedo is much different than others. since i see so much, i see a very different side of hedo than most. i see folks having good times, solid couples, shaky couples, women and men who tease and play games, others who come with a purpose of getting together with others for the first time or many times. i see management addressing some issues, ignoring others, and making strange rules and regulations.

one day, its this way. the another day, its another. you have one attitude one day and another the next.

we also are not drinkers. we do a social glassa wine or the like, but, the advantage of all you can drink does nothing for us. we dont drink that way. we love champagne. its always been a rip in our panties that an all inclusive makes you buy champagne. thats horse feathers. weve vacationed at sandals numerous times. i promise that you wont have a problem getting champagne anytime you want it. by the way, swept away was the same, in that, you had to buy it. the lido, of course, its included. but, back to hedo, well, weve always had a problem with that. anyway, why pay all dat money when you dont drink and dont pig out every day?

well, im going to try and finish this up. ive been putting it off for a while. momma and i did a walk down during our last visit. we took a day, since we had 10 of them, and walked down the other part of the beach. no, not the sandals, etc.. we took a taxi down to the hotel chain a bit closer to downtown town. we must have checked out at least 8 hotels before we agreed that wed had enough. there are some wonderful hotels in that block! between almost every nice hotel is a nice restaurant catering to just about every taste. each meal runs about 7 to 8 dollars a piece which, we think, is very reasonable. weve gone to jamaica enough times to know the score. youd think tha after 12 trips, weve figured it out. we have.

weve booked 10 days at one of those hotels. theyve arranged for transportation from the hotel for $50 one way. cant beat it. so instead of $4500.00 total for our trip, were coming out at about $2500.00 including airfare from houston. cant beat it. not making any promises, but, i may write another report when we git back. only time will tell. ifen ya wanna no, well see.

thank you for taking the time to read this. hope it was worth your time.

stay positive and one love!

the baron and momma
